  The staff here make it a 5 star. From the trainee receptionist on arrival, to the smiling helpful barman, to the cleaning lady who gave our dog a toy, they all made our stay an enjoyable one. Located by water, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring Lincoln by foot. Dog friendly. Would recommend

  The hotel is kept to a very high standard. The rooms were clean and modern and the location is perfect. We used the hotel carpark (£10 per 24hrs payable in reception) which was fairly priced and very convenient as long as you can get a space. When we arrived and went to our room, the sofa had been made up as a bed although there was only two of us. A quick mention to the lovely reception staff as we went out for an afternoon stroll and it was all packed away by the time we returned, fantastic service. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

  We recently stayed here in an executive room. The room itself was very pleasant but let down massively by poor housekeeping. The carpet was dirty with hair/grit on it, obviously not been vacuumed. The basin counter in the bathroom had stray hairs on it as did the shower tray. Yuk! The shower head was disgusting, not been cleaned for some time. There was also a hole in the base sheet and yet another on the duvet cover. Bad show all around… 😤

  We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Lincoln HG. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A special thank you to Liam for his exceptional hospitality and outstanding customer service. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Iwona and Charlie for their kindness, understanding, and empathy during our situation. Their professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help made a real difference and turned what could have been a stressful experience into a very positive one. We rarely stay at the same hotel twice, as we usually like to try different places. However, the exceptional service and genuine care shown by the team have changed our minds. We have already decided that this will be our first choice whenever we visit the area again. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be returning and will highly recommend Holiday Inn Lincoln to our family, friends, and anyone looking for outstanding hospitality.

  Surprised by the amount of 5* wow. Although the service and bar area is great, the rooms let this hotel down. ‘Grubby’ is the word that springs to mind. The carpet looks disgusting, the horrible brown chair in the room has many stains, I don’t even want to think what they could be. Cleanliness is a huge issue. Bathroom looks new until closer inspection, shower full of limescale and grime, bathroom door probably the same door from when the hotel was built with a cheap overcoat applied. Heater, AC unit does now work. AI photos on google maps and holiday inn website are false advertising. Massive let down. NOT recommended. The holiday inn express across town has nicer rooms.
