DO NOT stay in this hotel if you want at least a few hours of sleep
Got a call a couple of days before to say that as i was an IHG member my room had been upgraded, don’t be fooled its absolutely appalling that IHG even offer room 132 on a weekend the noise was horrendous, stayed in over 2000 worldwide and NEVER had an experience like this.
On checkout the person told me that i would receive a refund of the points used for the stay plus 20000 now you can see IHG response, the individual on checkout clearly said something to appease me and now the nameless individual from IHG has sent the response below. On checkout he knew before I even said what the issue was it the noise!!!
Thank you for contacting us regarding your recent stay at Hotel Indigo Leeds. We are sincerely sorry to learn of the difficulties you experienced during your visit, particularly the disruption caused by external noise.
We fully appreciate the importance of a comfortable and restful night's sleep, and we regret that the noise affected your overall experience.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Having reviewed the records of your stay, we can confirm that our Duty Manager offered 20,000 IHG One Rewards points as a gesture of goodwill. This represents the maximum compensation we are able to offer in relation to the external noise.
We note that your reservation was made using 34,000 points, and we consider the 20,000 points offered to be a substantial and appropriate gesture in recognition of the inconvenience you experienced.
We would also like to provide some context regarding the circumstances. Your stay took place on a Saturday night, and the hotel is situated on a main city centre street.
As a result, particularly during busy weekend periods, there may be noise from the surrounding area, including traffic and activity from nearby establishments.
Unfortunately, noise originating externally from the hotel is beyond our control, and we are unable to prevent or regulate such disturbances.
For this reason, and given the goodwill compensation already offered, we are unable to refund the 54,000 points used for the reservation or provide any further compensation.
We genuinely regret that your stay did not meet your expectations and apologise for the impact this had on your experience.
We value your feedback and have ensured that your comments are appropriately noted and shared with the relevant hotel team.

My husband and myself were celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary at Hotel Indigo Leeds. Before we even arrived, not only were we upgraded by the lovely Agnes, but the mirror in our room had an anniversary message and we were given a complimentary drinks. Breakfast was exceptional and what has really stood out was the staff - all so pleasant, courteous, gracious and professional. Special mention to Maurizio who brought a beautiful bucket of ice for the champagne and looked after us at the bar. Beyond impressed and so grateful to be here. We will be back. Thank you IHG and Indigo Hotel Leeds ♥️

I've just had my first experience of The Indigo hotel and it was first class. My daughter and I shared a double room with 2 double beds which were so comfy. The room had everything we needed including a fridge. We ordered room service snacks which were delicious. The English breakfast was so good. All the staff were so friendly . I would not hesitate to book here again .

The reception staff were excellent and helpful. The hotel itself is pristine in every aspect. The amenities are great quality.
Two items of concern. One they do not have the countries number one news channel on their TV which is GBNews and secondly the dinner was not great and I should have removed service charge but didn’t see it till too late. Also service was extremely slow as no one asked me about my meal and I had to go and find someone to pay the bill.

I wanted to warn others before they book.
Although the hotel is in a convenient location, we weren't warned that our room was directly next to a nightclub during Pride weekend. We had specifically requested a quiet room, but from around 12:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. the music and DJ were so loud that we couldn't sleep.
To top it off the telephone had an alarm set at 5am for no reason.
When I complained during the night, the staff member apologised and said we'd receive complimentary breakfast, a partial refund, and a late checkout because there were no rooms available to move us to.
At checkout, the breakfast and refund were no longer being honoured. We were told any refund had to be approved by head office. The late checkout was pointless because the nightclub started playing loud music again around 11 a.m., so we left at 11:30 a.m.
Had we been warned about the noise before arrival, we would have booked elsewhere and left that day.
Its clear they know they have this is a problem since they were supplying 'earplugs' which did nothing, the noise wasn't just minor city noise but full blast party with a boom box and instead of just not letting those rooms that are not fit to sleep in over the weekend, they do regardless to quick buck.
I hope IGH management go and sleep in room 04 on the ground floor on a Saturday night and go work the next day with no sleep.
When I asked to use the toilet after checking out, despite being five months pregnant with swollen legs, I was directed to a toilet down a flight of stairs in the basement. There was an accessible toilet next to reception, but I was not permitted to use it.
The hotel looks nice, but the lack of sleep and poor handling of our complaint completely ruined our stay.
Do yourself a favour and go to the Marriot hotel which is only 1 block away.
