  Location was good nearby a small town and shops local to it within 30 mins walk Was for work as a stop off, and it did its job, nothing to write home about, the beds were ok Breakfast was ok with a large continental spread The dinner options were good too as we opted for a light dinner

  The room disappointed me as the door to the toilet had a nail sticking out and caught my trousers as I was preparing to check out. My trousers are ruined so that’s an additional expense I didn’t expect. Also you can see on the opposite wall the corner is in poor condition as plaster is falling off and looks dreadful. Also in room under the desk was a grey water waste pipe I think and although recessed into the wall it catches your eye whilst on the bed and I think aesthetically it should be boxed in. Overall disappointed in the room as an elite member of Ihg I haven’t seen a room like this in a long time.

  Firstly the receptionist was very blunt and definitely not cheery when we checked in. Then she tried to charge £116 for a booked rate of £83. Was meant to be on the ground floor close to entrance due to disability but wasn't, was instead put right at the top at the back of the hotel. No information regarding the food or bar and had to ask for 2 room keys. The bed was really hard, like really hard :( Location was ok, room was ok.

  I booked last year for a concert we were attending, my mum is disabled and needed an accessible room , I rang the hotel and changed the booking along with another we have set for another 3 weeks time. When we arrived I had been told we had been upgraded? And I'm thinking well that's nice and all but I booked the accessible room for. a. reason. The hotel staff our receptionist Bradley and manager on duty Francisco we're totally apologetic. Bradley then started to ring up all the other ihg hotels to see if anyone else had one but because of the concert we were seeing, everywhere was fully booked. Bless them, we went to look at an empty room my mums walker could fit through and by working out a different way to the rooms instead of taking the stairs we drove round back to our room. Our room was standard, clean and well presented. I have never slept well in hotels but me and my mum had no back pains after waking up. Francisco went above and beyond his service , by helping taking my stuff to the room but also giving us free breakfast. Can't wait to come back in 3 weeks time.
