  We were on a quick journey to the UK to meet with a friend and, while there, had a few extra days to fill, While we have traveled to the UK many times in the past ten years we have never visited the Yorkshire area. We decided to stay in Leeds and commute to York. We chose the Crowne Plaza in Leeds as our "Base of Operations." What a great choice it was! Walking distance from the rail station, and warmly greeted by Yasser and Patrice. We ate dinner each evening at the bar with Kieran, Finn, Sam, Isobel, and Yana. What a Hoot! At breakfast each morning we were greeted by Carlotta, Stuart, or Darren and served by Jennifer, Junior, and Sammy. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel especially due to all the staff we met. We will definitely stay here again when we return to continue our investigations of the surrounding environs of Yorkshire.

  Stayed at quite a few of your establishments. This one being the first time coming for me and my son, my parents had been here a fair few times. This one was a bit disappointing..... Check in was lovely staff nice as usual obviously said usual things about breakfast and when swimming pool was open.... They given us lounge access due to my dad being a platinum member and said to all 4 of us to enjoy! We went swimming which my little boy loved! Except he was gutted about the jacuzzi was out of bounds for him but was no problem rules are rules..... We got ready in our room and decided to go to club lounge room like we normally do at your other establishments before going out for food and a few drinks. We go in and my little boy sits down in the corner and gets greeted by the staff member asking what I want to drink etc. I said what I wanted for then for him to say well your child can't be in here. I said why not he said they can't be in here . I explained in the other establishments they let him and the staff on desk say to enjoy it and never mentioned anything. I said he is sat here on his tablet didn't even make a sound or move about or anything..... I thought he went onto saying it would be ok for a bit but I must have misheard him..... My parents came not long after to the waiter to come up and say you having a nice time and then quite rude and bluntly said I already said that you shouldn't be in here . As someone who suffers with anxiety made me feel so small and horrible. My little boy got so upset cos he was sat not doing anything wrong and we felt so out of place and didn't know what to say. I have no problem with rules or if my little boy was causing mischief but he wasn't he darent say anything. To be honest it ruined rest of our night cos as I said above I suffer with anxiety and with how he approached nice and then went rude triggered me. We went to the bar downstairs which is my opinion staff was nicer! We came back a bit later on after our meal and drinks out... However the member of staff who was serving in club lounge room was serving in this bar which wasn't a problem. We ordered our drinks one being a cocktail to that staff member saying we had to wait for the bartender to come back cos he is the one who does the cocktails which was no problem. However we was waiting a good 10 mins and the staff member came back and he didn't mention about cocktail he kind of looked to why we was stood there and we explained and he said he hadn't been told to make one but did straight away. Which may I add isn't really good customer service (seemed like the staff member had a problem from the club lounge) which I hope wasn't the case. Obviously with a pornstar martini you get a shot of prosecco with it , the bartender asked so you want a shot I said yes I normally do. He said well I will get you one, as if to say he did not really want to get it me. So I said leave it it doesn't matter if it's too much trouble. Just felt some staff went above and beyond and some just didn't have good customer service and couldn't be bothered. When you are paying a lot of money it isn't on. Can I just add this hotel gives the vibe not for children ( words of my 9 year old) who was completely upset by everything being around children can't do this or that. If that's the case why let children stay at the hotel! I don't like being negative but this was meant to be a nice stay but got ruined by these few instances. I will absolutely visit the other establishments we have visited in the past but will not come back to this one due to how them few staff members made myself and my little boy feel.

  We stayed here as a family of four including one little girl who really doesn't like excess noise,unfortunately noise was all we got as they put us next door to a bunch of screaming banshees.Constant noise right up until 1130pm when they went out and constant noise after 330am when they returned.If you are a young family I wouldn't recommend stopping here I would stop at the hilton where the phone in the room will actually work so you can contact reception

  Most stuff was good... but the state of the beds needs to be double checked. I'm pretty sure there was mold/little black dots over the bed along with hairs in the sink from previous guests. There was 2 women at the reception. One was super lovely and wonderful (she had red/purple neck length hair) and the other was not as sociable (she had dark brown/black hair and spoke with an accent I couldn't quite place). Apart from that, the room is nice. Lighting is good too!

  Lovely hotel. Location was really great for us. We are friends from uni so had come for a catch up and night away and met in the middle of our home towns on the train. The service was brilliant. Special thanks to Patrice (I think I have spelt that wrong) on reception. She was so friendly and helpful, she was really smiley and made us feel at ease immediately. Our first room was not suitable but she moved us immediately to another room and contacted housekeeping to go and sort the room we had left to make sure everything was ok for future guests. She was so polite and made us instantly comfortable and at ease with asking for a different room. My friend is gluten free and the care for her allergies was great in the restaurant especially at breakfast. The spa is smaller than the pictures depict and I would have been a bit disappointed if I had booked a spa weekend, the sauna was small and always busy so we couldn't get in it and the jacuzzi was small and always busy but we did get a chance to use it. However for what we wanted it was fine. I am a wheelchair user and the accessible shower room at the pool was really accessible for me. We hadn't booked an accessible room (on purpose) but everything was great and my wheelchair fit. However I can walk round room and I used the pool shower so that I could have a long shower and use a seat a I was only there for one night. Patrice sorted out an escape plan if a fire alarm etc had gone off so that the staff knew which room I was in and what my needs were in case of emergency. Overall a great experience and I would book again if I was ever in Leeds. Thank you.
