  Rooms were clean, very friendly staff. Lack of parking was frustrating especially as the closest car park charges you everytime you enter and leave. there is longer stay parking with a 5 min walk but its not ideal when you have children or large bags. overall a good experience

  The stay was okay overall, but unfortunately there were a few things that let it down. The room had quite a musty smell when we arrived, and there was a noticeable white stain on the chair, which did make me feel a little uncomfortable about looking too closely around the rest of the room, including the bed. We also didn’t see a single member of staff during our stay, so there wasn’t really much interaction or opportunity to raise any issues. Breakfast was at the Beefeater inside the hotel. Compared with other Premier Inns we’ve stayed at, we found it quite disorganised and the continental selection was fairly limited. We were also expecting the usual Premier Inn-style unlimited breakfast where you can help yourself and go back for more, but here the staff came to take your order instead. They didn’t come back to check whether we wanted anything else, so you had to approach them yourself if you wanted more food, which could feel a little uncomfortable for some guests. One plate of food is not worth £12. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved. I definitely don’t think it is worth the money I paid for it.

  Really disappointed with this premier inn, I got given a disabled room, honestly I think an NHS hospital room would have been nicer. Beds were horrendous and pillows were mega uncomfortable. Staff were nice though.

  Bathroom stunk of smoke, there were used razors in the bin, socks under the bed, the bed was stained with a suspicious looking white stain, whole room was in a bad state of disrepair, curtains were falling off the wall, there was no sound dampening on the windows , was over charged for breakfast, there was no coffee, the pastries were shop bought, all the yogurt/ milk/ juice and such was warm as no effort was made to cool them. Couldn’t find any one on reception the majority of the stay, the vending machines had old food in, there was barely any food available for the evening meal and I was charged for my child despite the 300 signs saying kids eat free. 0/10

  Ideal for the centre of Halifax attractions, and for us, it is one of the only places available with accessibile rooms. The staff and breakfast were both excellent, the beds very comfortable. The only issue I have and it's the same with any Premier Inn near a concert venue, is the dynamic pricing. We have to stay here due to accessibility needs (wheelchair rooms are hard to come by) and as a whole when coming to a concert you relieve a companion ticket, so although pushing a chair around the hills of Halifax is hard work, the 2 for 1 part is great. Until you need to pay £200 plus for a room, and because we are not a couple, I am just a PA, we need two rooms. So £60 for 2 of us to see a concert at the piece hall and then stung for £400 just to sleep there for the night, when rooms any other time are a fraction of the price. We would stay elsewhere, but there isn't anywhere, and living 2hrs drive away makes going home on the night a difficult choice, but next time it might just have to be that and we can't afford those overblown prices that often.
