  I stayed at this Premier Inn while visiting a friend who had just had a new baby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I’ve stayed at Premier Inns before without any issues. Unfortunately, this stay was a very different experience. The room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, and the smell in the bathroom was even worse. I reported it to reception straight away, but was told the hotel was fully booked and there was no alternative room available. I also contacted head office and opened the window, but the smell remained throughout the night. As someone with asthma, it made for a very uncomfortable stay. The smell was so strong in the bathroom that I didn’t even want to use the shower. I raised the issue again with management the following morning and later with customer services, but after their investigation I was told there was nothing they could do because no smell was detected when they checked. I found this extremely disappointing given how obvious the smell was during my stay and i told them straight away and called the head office. While the staff I dealt with were polite, the handling of the complaint afterwards was very poor and no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and not one I would want to repeat.

  Room was okay, although I could have done with a fridge. Close to Prestwich and Heaton Park.

  The hotel is currently beside an old TGI Friday restaurant which is being demolished. The hotel itself is ok for the amount we paid. The corridors are very tired and need a refurb. The rest is satisfactory. I would stay here again. Hopefully when the next door demolition is over it will lift the hotel.

  Premier Inn Management need to schedule this hotel for a refurb ASAP. It is getting incredibly outdated and tired. I was given one of the older rooms in the hotel which consisted of dark old lights and an outdated bathroom with a loud fan - the hotel was sold out this weekend so no options really to ask for a better room I don’t agree with the prices they are charging for rooms as they look comparable to 2 star hotels in the city which are dirt cheap Luckily I was only here for one night so just needed a bed for the night while travelling but I was hoping Premier inn would give you a bit more for what you pay for. The one night cost me over £130 which I booked well in advance! Staff have been nice though so I won’t complain about them (The photos make it look brighter than it is)
