  We came to visit to see relatives. The room is ok, but cud do with a refurb, especially to have air con in them. Even with two fans on, it was unbearable. I know there's been a heatwave, but it was mud week and be very quiet. Surely they should've had a rooms free without the sun shining in all day....

  Great staff.place needs investment and better security.the choices of description of the place are far too biased in favour of the company and doesn't let you give an honest opinion.We paid some massive fees on some days... unfair.Only option was quiet but the others were not true

  We stayed at this hotel for five nights, and we’ve also stayed at this chain’s hotels in London and Glasgow. Compared with those, the corridors and rooms in this one are indeed a bit dated, and without air conditioning, it really does need some modern upgrades. However, despite that, the staff here work incredibly hard and remain genuinely friendly. What impressed me the most was the breakfast experience — I had breakfast here for five days, and both the staff and the atmosphere gave me such a warm and comforting feeling. Christine, the chef, and her team put so much heart into their work, and they truly deserve praise. Their effort definitely improved my overall impression of this hotel. I’m grateful that this place has such dedicated employees.

  Look, when you book a PI you know what to expect, from the room to the decor, to the breakfast. But the restaurant in the evening was the great let-down - limited options on the ‘new’ menu, average quality, slow service - yes, we are a captive clientele but 45 minutes for a plate in fish and chips does not inspire. I think the staff do admirably, there just wasn’t enough of them. And the derelict TGI attached needs URGENT attention to ensure this ‘blot on the landscape’ does not continue to detract from this establishment.

  Recently spent two nights here during a very hot spell. The rooms have no air con and we were provided with a fan but it was utterly stifling at night. Nothing the hotel could do about it but do bear that in mind. The room (114) was clean, sweet smelling and absolutely fine. The car park was large with ample spaces. Breakfast was generous and well cooked. All the staff we encountered were great. The approach to the hotel does look like a post apocalyptic wasteland as the attached TGI Fridays is being refurbished/knocked down but ignore it. Despite being adjacent to busy roads it was very quiet. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance.
