Great value with free parking and good location, close to regular buses into central Manchester. Unfortunately the fenced off, closed and now derelict Beefeater next door is an eye sore. The first room was directly above the extract fans so was very noisy but they relocated us on request, without any fuss. Spacious, clean room and helpful staff.

I booked a one nights stay. The sink tap in the washroom was not working. Only hot water came out no cold water. My husband went to reception to complain a male employee came to the room to check and saw what was wrong . We were told it was late and fully booked so cannot change rooms or do anything. Had the worst night ever as the tap water was so hot, had to use the bath tap for nightly routines (wash hands/face brush teeth etc). It was a headache and uncomfortable. The next day when checking out we told the morning staff the employee did not seem bothered by it. I sent an email direct to the company to complain about the experience and the response was shocking. They refused to acknowledge the situation and said there was nothing wrong at all. Which is ridiculous as their own employee was there as witness. This was my first and last visit to the hotel. Horrible experience its no place to stay that deems customers as liars. If there was Zero star option I’d give it that

Location was good for me as I booked it for work. I do not know the area, so can’t comment on this. Hotel needs some updating, especially the carpet( needs good cleaning and hoovering).Mattress is comfortable, and my room is quiet. There is a lift and free parking which is bonus. No air conditioning and the windows cannot be open more than a few inches.Staff is polite. I haven’t used the restaurant so I cannot comment on that.
