I had a great stay at the premier inn- the meal deal to include breakfast is always worth doing and the service was absolutely fantastic - Paige stands out for being amazing ! Very helpful , kind and patient

Great hotel in a good location, only draw back was early check-in. Paid for an early check-in but the guy on reception seemed to like saying room not ready. Only when my wife asked for a manager to complain to a room suddenly became available

Pretty standard premier inn. Room was ok, nice shower. The room has airconditioning which is nice. The room was clean. But the hotel is clearly in need of refurbishment. The room looks tired, flaking paint, mouldy spots on the bathroom ceiling. Location is excellent, everything in walking distance.

Everyone was nice, but I need to give a one-star to draw the management's attention to the fact that rooms and overall the hotel is pretty dirty in comparison to other Premier Inn hotels accross the country. The room was dirty and dusty, the bathroom was moldy. There was a terrible smell in the hallway. A pile of rotten bananas at breakfast. The staff were kind, but unfortunately not everyone pays enough attention to their work, or there simply aren't enough of them. The area is full of important touristic objects, but also a lot of questionable people in the evening.

Poor service at check in, the lady was incredibly difficult and wasn’t listening to what was being said, even saying she was confused. She also mentioned another booking that was under the same last name from my party however it was a completely seperate booking and they wasn’t there, therefore breaking GDPR policies - unsure if she realised it was data protection.
Upon getting to the room, the air con didn’t work properly (wasn’t cool and kept going off) resulting in the temperature at one point reading 24 degrees!
The shower didn’t work, when you tried to change it over water spurted all over the bathroom asthough the pipes weren’t connected properly.
The floors feel unsafe, bounce when you walk on them, when you walk in front of the desk it sounds like it’s going to come off the wall and you can also hear people walking in the corridors from the rooms and able to hear every footstep above you.
Whilst I appreciate the next part is not directly the hotels problem I do feel additional measures should be taken.
I had someone attempting to get into my room at 1:30 in the morning whilst I was asleep. He was intoxicated however tried to get in 6/7 times. As a female staying on her own this was incredibly unsettling and resulted in me staying up all night due to feeling unsafe. There is no security bar or chain behind the door to prevent/delay entry should they be able to get in, I ended up confronting the man as he continually tried to gain entry when I was stood behind the door. Taking what happened and being able to hear all the footsteps from the corridor, this can cause further distress.
As there is no additional security other than the dead lock on the handle (which automatically opens when you use the inside handle) I resulted in using the chair to barricade the door under its handle whilst also packing my suitcase to use it as a weight. I wanted to ring reception to send security up but couldn’t find a phone in there dispite there being a sign with instructions of how to ring.
I wouldn’t stay here again. When I asked about the phones I was told they haven’t been there for years and your unable to take the signs down dhe to it being a listed building which I find that very bizarre and also concerning that there are no facilities to ring reception should it be required urgently.
Breakfast was nice however there was flys around the pastries and pancakes.
