  Great stay, the staff were very nice. Beata was super helpful and helped out little boy at breakfast which was delicious

  This was a standard Premier Inn Hotel experience. This hotel was really nice quiet place to rest which was a good distance away from Todmorden - where I had a family get-together. The hotel was going through a little construction. But due to our stay being around the weekend, we escape most of the noise.

  Arrived and checked in quickly as I needed to head back out. Once I got my key and entered the room there was a foul smell. I didn't think anything of it as I was in a rush, I dropped my things off and left the window opened. Once I came back later the smell had gotten worse it was unbearable. The room was damp iswell. I went to the reception to get help. The receptionist said the hotel is fully booked and there's nothing that can be done. I wasn't happy with this as I had my family with me which included young children. After A LOT of effort he finally moved us, we had to wait till he gets the room ready. We then had to move our things from the previous room into this room and he also didnt provide us with a key, he said we would have to call into reception if we are locked out as he only has a key. It was past 12 midnight at this point, we had a 4 hour journey here i had no energy to hold a conversation properly so I agreed with everything. After all this hassle, no compensation was offered or any type of reassurance. Im a regular with Premier Inn. This is by far the worst experience I've had. Won't recommend or stay here ever again.

  Know what, a Premier Inn that was actually really good, now I give this 5* review reminding people it is what it is. It's a Premier Inn, you get what you get but what we got on this occasion was actually really lovely, the staff helpful and friendly we had a breakdown in the way which involved us checking in late, we then had to rush off as soon as we arrived for the celebrations we were attending but the team were completely understanding and the night porter polite and helpful. Room was clean and spacious and well worth the extra small spend. The only negative, and of it can be even called that Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, photo advertisement makes it look like a wonderful thing but it was actually a little lack luster in person. Perhaps it was because we came down last orders because we got in late 🫩 who knows. Otherwise the dinning area was clean light and well decorated, so much so if someone could tell me where the printed wallpaper and matching chairs that are in the rooms came from I'd love to know.
