  Stay started off well with the person behind the desk being most helpful. It unfortunately deteriorated from there. Breakfast on both days was a headache. I'd strongly recommend seeking alternative arrangements. First day with one person working the entire restaurant floor meant food was slow, instead of the buffet style breakfast we anticipated. Second day after being delivered 10 incorrect plates of food between our party of 12, and still only one person working the entire floor. Complete communication breakdown with the kitchen. I declined to accept my plate and waited for another of the correct food. After a 30 minute wait my order was either forgotten or at the bottom of a long queue. We eventually left and will submit a complaint to refund the breakfast I never got. Rooms are ok, cleaning staff are friendly. Aside from a couple of front of house staff the rest don't seem interested at all to acknowledge or serve you. You are made to feel like an inconvenience to them. I'd definitely avoid the breakfast restaurant. If there's other local accommodation, I'd head there instead.

  We had a few issues with our room, extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy, tv picture was very jumpy, bedside lamp didn't work, room uncomfortably hot. Room 115.

  I come here when working in the area. Staff are always polite and appropriately chatty on arrival and check in doesn’t take long. Room numbers are nicely signposted so it’s easy to know where to go. The room themselves are quite large and smell freshly cleaned when you walk in. Beds are decent, tv good, decent amount of outlets and lighting (main lights/lamps). Bathroom is also a decent size with a bath/shower that’s easy to use. The restaurant staff are attentive and I have no complaints about the food. Parking isn’t free, but is subsidised where you pay on arrival. I unfortunately start work too early that I have only had breakfast on one occasion, but it was really nice and a whole array of things on offer. The building is quite old, so you can hear people walking up and down the corridors and people come and go throughout the day/night. Location isn’t bad, but you’ll probably want a vehicle if you want to explore usual tourist spots, though that isn’t essential. There is a local pub, Tesco and some takeaways a short walk away. I would and probably will come back again.

  The room was tired ,with not a nice smell from the toilet ,the light switch to the toilet was temperamental and even though there was two fans the room was hot ,stayed for 3 nights ,breakfast first two days was OK, but third day even though it wasn't busy we waited for them to fill the cooked breakfast for 10 minutes, when I went 3rd time to see if the breakfast was ready the bacon was hard and as I waited for mushrooms znd black pudding ,then I was told they haven't got any mushrooms and black pudding will follow ,which meant we had to ho back AGAIN which we didn't bother the 4th time ,it was a bank holiday weekend as well .definitely not worth the money ,the waitres was very polite but the man was very abrupt when he told they haven't got mushrooms, don't think we will stay again
