  No hot water for the entire length of our stay, which for a Premier Inn is genuinely hard to believe. We raised it three separate times and were refused any compensation on each occasion, no discount, no gesture, nothing. To make matters worse, we later learned that other guests affected by the same issue were offered a complimentary breakfast as a goodwill gesture. When we asked for the same, we were flatly declined, with no explanation for the inconsistency. The service throughout was neglectful at best and rude at worst. Staff seemed uninterested in resolving the problem or acknowledging that we'd paid for a service we didn't receive. I expect far better from Premier Inn and won't be returning to this or any other hotel.

  Four of us on a 5 night break had the friendliest welcome we've had in all our years as Premier Inn guests, thanks to Alison who has made our trip special. We would also mention Lucy for special thanks in sorting a small problem for us. If we return to Kent we won't hesitate to book Premier Inn Tombridge hotel.

  I was extremely disappointed with our stay at the Premier Inn Tonbridge. Throughout our entire stay, there was no hot water, meaning that neither I nor my two guests were able to have a proper hot shower or bath. While the staff were apologetic when I raised the issue, we were given no clear information about when the hot water would return. In the end, it was unavailable for the whole duration of our stay. What disappointed me even more was discovering afterwards that Premier Inn’s policy was to offer free breakfasts to guests affected by the loss of hot water. This was not offered to us, either during our stay or when we checked out. Given that the issue lasted for our entire visit, I would have expected staff to be aware of the policy and to communicate it to us, particularly as we were understanding and sympathetic towards them when we first reported the problem. There were also issues with the condition of the rooms. The ground-floor rooms we stayed in were quite musty and had a noticeable smell of damp, which added to the overall disappointment. I subsequently contacted customer services and, despite several emails going back and forth, found their response dismissive. In hindsight, I feel that my willingness to be understanding towards the staff may have worked against me, as the situation was not properly remedied or explained. If you experience a similar issue at this hotel, I would strongly recommend asking for a remedy at the time and not assuming that customer services will resolve it afterwards. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The lack of hot water for the entirety of our stay, the condition of the rooms and the subsequent handling of the complaint fell well below what I would expect from Premier Inn.

  Great stay...the pub next door was fantastic...Great cask ales and a burger second to none...really enjoyed my visit!

  A little dated but well placed. The Vauxhall Inn next door is well worth a visit
