  Absolutely unacceptable customer service… I lost/had my passport stolen 2 weeks before our stay and I requested a refund from the hotel expecting them to be lenient as most other large hotels would be however after 2 attempts at getting my money back they straight refused to provide me a refund. If you want lenient and understanding staff this is not the place for you. Scam artists.

  Very friendly and helpful staff. Can't fault the room even though the bed was slightly harder than what we are used to. Plenty of space with all extras that you may need to make your stay comfortable. Still had a good sleep helped by the fact that on one of the hottest days in May, the room temperature could be controlled by an almost silent air conditioner. Food at the restaurant was amazing at reasonable prices with very good service. Will definitely use this hotel again.

  I stayed here for a wedding in Sittingbourne over the course of 3 days. I would absolutely stay here again. The staff were very very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a very nice restaurant/bar with an outdoor patio and gazebo (very lovely, especially during the hot UK summer). The hotel is walking distance from Sittingbourne's main street (roughly 10-15 min), so not too bad. My only comment was the towels in the room had a weird smell to them (smelled like expired bread? Hard to describe...), so perhaps just a more "fresher" or cleaner laundry detergent to use. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again! :) p.s. a personal shoutout to Donovan who provided the best service ever in the restaurant!

  Lets be fair, the hotel was very clean and staff were charming. Sadly, that's where the positives end. There was a very serious problem with the air conditioning. The room I got was under a clearly broken a/c unit and not only was it loud, it also made the room vibrate. The kind of thing you don't notice until you try to sleep, and then you really notice it. Now, credit where it is due, the staff did allow me to switch rooms very late at night, not that this should be a thing. They were good about it, and, the switch was completed without any fuss. But the replacement room also suffered from bad a/c noise. Moreover, when I asked to switch rooms, it seemed like an issue they were already aware of, but gave me a substandard room anyway to start with! Both rooms, seeing as I got to see two, also seemed to have very old beds. Mattresses were really quite squishy. And, ironically, both rooms were rather warm to hot with non-functioning a/c. I would like to "congratulate" Holiday Inn for abjectly failing to do the actual job of being a hotel where you can get a decent nights sleep. Well done, I shall not be staying at any of your hotels again. And... update, response to managment: Fascinating how there is no commitment to fix anything. Mere vacant apologies. No doubt still sell the substandard rooms.
