  The room suffered from a heavy, damp, and stagnant odour that immediately hit me upon entering. Beneath the fresh outer covers, the actual pillows, quilt,mattress and mattress protector were severely soiled and stained. This appeared to be a deliberate attempt to mask old, soiled bedding with fresh top sheets. I was moved to a further two rooms which had the same disgusting beds. Additionally, the food served at this location was inedible and completely unfit for consumption. Shockingly, upon mentioning these severe hygiene concerns to the Premier Inn staff, I was totally ignored. The team completely invalidated my complaints, made me feel as though my concerns were entirely worthless, and displayed a total lack of care regarding the state of their rooms. I reported this to Environmental Health and Trading Standards.

  A typical Premier Inn. I've only ever had one bad experience in the many I've stayed in. The room was clean, bed was comfy, it was quiet at night, only a few minutes walk from the railway station, shops, restaurants, bars, venues. The staff were really nice and attentive. The only things I disliked were the bulb missing from a lamp, the shower water pressure was dismal, the wardrobe was a bit dusty and there was no tumbler provided for drinking water. I'd definitely use it again. I don't think you can beat PI value for money.

  Always a pleasure to stay, under any circumstances - rooms are always spotless, best mattress, very quiet, nice lil sofa/day bed by the bed, good shower, clever lighting and consistency (which I appreciate the most). The quality of service is consistent literally wherever I go around the whole country. Special shout out to Daniella and team, for allowing my dad (visiting from China, doesn’t speak English, first time in Premier Inn) to enjoy some juice before our departure and filled his flask with hot water for his morning tea. I always feel like Premier is a bit of my home away from home - and we all look forward to coming back soon :)

  Terribly and deliberately understaffed for a sold out hotel on that weekend. The remaining staff were under pressure all the time and quick to tell customers they had been requesting extra staff for some time. The reception buzzer was constantly in use to get staff to wait on the restaurant and bar, check in guests, but they were too busy fixing issues in the bedrooms. Management need to think about the service they provide to guests and the work conditions they put their staff under. The double bedroom was actually two singles pushed together which was very uncomfortable.

  I enjoy staying at Premier Inn, good mattresses, bed linens and towels. This year I've stayed at their locations in Cardiff, Bath, Edinburgh, Gatwick airport and now Tunbridge wells. However other than Cardiff and Bath, these hotels in Edinburgh and Tunbridge wells have a housekeeping problem. I stayed two nights in Tunbridge wells location, upon arrival in room 310 I was met with a very dusty room. The bedside table legs were filthy with dust, the skirting boards, TV and headboard were all dusty. Even the wall mounted bedside lamp was filthy! See pictures Oh, and then the carpets next to the head of the bed were actually disgusting. I mentioned this upon my check out. I saw housekeeping cart in the hallway on two separate days, no vacuum cleaner in the cart. I've since discovered (confirmed upon my check out) that they use Roomba auto vacuums. Well, that accounts for the dusty carpets but that doesn't account for non carpet surfaces being dusty. This is a severe corporate issue, it is unacceptable to check into a hotel room that was so dirty! I was joking with my partner after booking this hotel chain that we should bring our own cleaning supplies after a recent trip to Edinburgh Lauriston Place (also filthy). Don't stay at this hotel
