Really good hotel. Stayed here for 2 weeks for work so got to know the staff quite well, great customer service from the whole team but especially Danielle who by the third day staying here already knew what I wanted before I walked in to the resteraunt. Nice clean rooms as well, would highly recommend.

We decided to stay here at the last minute for a Wedding, on arrival we were greeted by Chantel who automatically made us feel welcome and at ease. From checking us in, serving us drinks and helping us with directions about the local area, Chantel went out of her way to help us throughout our stay and made the experience really enjoyable. A credit to the company, we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel have stolen an item of mine from my room and are refusing to send it back or offer a refund.
My stay with the hotel was between 5th - 7th July. I unfortunately left an item of mine in my room upon checking out, so rang the hotel who confirmed they had the item and instructed me to send a parcel to them for them to send me the item back. This parcel arrived with them on 14th July and I’ve still not received my item back.
They don’t answer the phone when you try to call the hotel directly and have provided no update on when I should receive my item back. The lack of communication from both this hotel and from Premier Inn’s customer service has been appalling and has made me wary of staying at any Premier Inn in future.

I arrived and left quite shocked at the service from the front of reception. I've been to many Premier Inn's around England and NEVER had such a bad experience from the receptionist. On arrival for a booked early check in, there was another group waiting for their rooms to be made ready too for early check in. I called up to Premier Inn a few days before hand to confirm that I can attend from 11am to check in which they did as we had a wedding to attend. So we arrived at 12pm and the receptionist attitude was shocking. The way she spoke to me and my family and also the other group was condescending, rude and disrespectful. We waited patiently for over 15mins but then she started with her condescending attitude of telling us all we had to wait for the rooms to be made ready as they haven't got rooms done yet based on other people checking out and also having a big group yesterday. She continued on to say rudely that 'Actually, if you read the small print you see it says that it depends on room availability'. Of course being spoken and treated like she did to us initially we had to reply back to her that there wasn't any need for her rude manners. I've never been spoken to like the way she did from any hotel receptionist before which was why I was left shocked and disappointed for Premier Inn. It left us feeling uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. We witnessed the same defensive tone and attitude from the receptionist to the group after us.
It's a shame as the room and bar staff was lovely and accommodating.

I've stayed here many times. Good location, close to train stations and bus stops, town, river. Smart rooms, friendly staff. Knocking off 1 star for the fact that 2 stays in a row, the bedroom smelled foul! More recent stay, I was on my own and put up with it but the time before, we asked for a different room, which was sorted. This needs addressing though. May have been same room both times, 210?
