  I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in July and enjoyed it so much that I decided to book another stay just a few weeks later for another relaxing break. The service was excellent, and the rooms were beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and equipped with AC. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, especially after what I assume was a recent renovation. I truly enjoyed my experience and can confidently say that this will be my favorite hotel in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. The steakhouse wasn’t quite as impressive, but it was still an enjoyable experience overall. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back again!

  Disappointing experience with IHG Folkestone regarding a cancellation charge. I had to cancel a reservation due to unforeseen personal circumstances. I contacted customer services, who processed the cancellation and advised me to deal with the hotel directly about any charge. I then spoke with a staff member named Patrick. He told me I would not be charged because I had cancelled rather than simply failing to arrive. I relied on that advice. Despite this, £217.22 was taken from my account. When I spoke to the manager, Arun, I was disappointed by his attitude. I asked him to review the recorded call with Patrick so we could establish exactly what had been said, but he refused. I am still seeking a full refund of £217.22 and a proper investigation. The customer service and complaint handling were very poor. IHG should stand by the information given by their own staff.

I had to cancel my booking due to unforeseen circumstances,Before cancelling I was told to speak to customer services which I did as I was under the 7 days cancellation period they cancelled and told me to speak to the hotel direct regarding the charge which i did i spoke to hotel staff member Patrick, who told me I would not be charged as I had cancelled rather than simply failing to arrive i relied on this advice. Despite this £217.22 was taken from my bank account.   We stayed at the hotel for one night and had a great experience. The location is very good — only a 15-minute walk from the station and close to the zigzag path leading down to the seafront. The room and bathroom were excellent: very clean, spacious, and finished to a high standard. The room was well equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, mini-fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer, bottled water, and cookies. All the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and was okay — a standard English/Swedish-style buffet with a good selection.
