  We visited the Previous eatery as a Beefeater on 4th September but only had a drink. Some of the people we were travelling to Europe with did eat and said it was good. My observation was that the drinks at the bar were limited, due to the restaurant closing the following week. We returned on the 15th to find the Premier Inn had taken over the restaurant wi6a new menu. I booked a table for 4 and ordered drinks before our guests arrived. I was surprised when had ordered 2 drinks to be left waiting at the bar. A different staff member asked if I wanted serving to which I said I had ordered 2 drinks when her colleague disappeared. Some minutes later the girl I ordered with returned, was questioned about my drink and said that she had completely forgotten to pour my drink. We sat down for our meal and ordered, the food came and seemed like the fries were overcooked or had been kept warm while they prepared the other meal. My wife ordered Ravioli from the menu and was half way through eating when I asked what happened to the sauce. The waitress was notified and in turn the result my wife was offered a free sweet. Overall it was not a good experience and feel like the staff were unprepared and rushed with the same girl at reception and in the bar/dining room. My comparison is the evening before we sat in a French restaurant with 20+ of our tour group and had a much better experience and meal.

  Excellent spot for the channel tunnel crossing.whilst the hotel feels like it needs a refurbished the receptionist service was excellent,when I rang to ask if I'd left something in the room,it was no trouble to go and look and ring me back.

  The air-conditioning does not work. Tge lift does not work. The Television does not work. The bar has no ice The staff on reception are lovely Apart from that just keep driving its a dump .

  Disappointing room allocation I booked a room for two adults and one child, as apparently a 17-year-old is classed as an adult. I called the hotel beforehand to explain that although there would technically be two adults, one was 17 and the other was 14, and that they would not want to share a bed. I specifically asked whether the room would have two single beds and was assured that it would. Unfortunately, when we checked in, there was only one single bed. The staff were helpful and arranged for a truckle bed to be brought into the room, which we were grateful for, but it was very small and not particularly comfortable for my 14-year-old. What made the difference even more noticeable was that my husband and youngest child joined us for the third night and had a separate room. Their room was considerably nicer — larger, more nicely decorated and with an armchair — which really highlighted how cramped and basic our room felt. The staff were lovely and did their best to resolve the issue, so I can’t fault them personally. However, it was disappointing that the room wasn’t as I had been assured it would be when I called beforehand, particularly when travelling with two teenagers.
