  I admit to being a bit worried when I found out this was an immigrant hotel for 4 years and only stopped in July. However, it was unjustified. The hotel is being refurbished and it’s better than some most other local Holiday Inn’s I’ve used. The only caveat being that they’re still finding their feet with staff and how to provide the best service possible, hence 3 stars. I’m sure over the next few weeks and with good management, they’ll be much better.

  Fab stay last night and friendly staff.The new updated rooms have been done to a high standard , large spacious rooms, very confortable bed and smart tv. Bathroom was impressive with large walk in shower and Dove soaps. We went for breakfast this morning and was again impressed. Very good variety of food. Full english, cheeses, cereals, fresh breads which were so soft and pastries! would recommend the vegan raspberry croissant and coffee machine. Walking distance to the town, large sainsburies and harvester for food. Would definately recommend! :)

  Disappointing considering how nice the hotel & rooms are. Sam at reception was excellent booking us in. The hotel was being refurbished which was okay but they put us in a room the furthest away from reception you could find & on the hottest night of the year after coming in from our night out the Aircon was broke. We suffered through the night until we got up in the morning. The sink plug was broken (one of those in a bar plunger behind the tap) which means we filled the sink with water and then couldn't empty it so we had to brush our teeth in the shower. When we checked out, I passed the key card back & the receptionist said thank you and said, okay your all paid up. It was the first time anywhere a receptionist hadn't said " how was your stay". So I thought, well he needs to need know. I explained about the issues & he didn't seem to know what to say, then a man in a black polo shirt interrupted the 'non-conversation and said " oh, yeah, we know about those issues in that room". I mean, flabbergasted was an under statement. Such a pity as the rooms are large, the bar area is nice but please, please communicate to ensure your customer have an accomidating stay! Hugely disappointing & obviously won't be returning.
