  Location is quite good, pretty much a straight road heading towards the station which helped me get back to London, service was great, gentleman called Leon really helped me out, i needed help with getting my mum to the room (old lady in a wheelchair) and he done nothing but help us get to the room and stated he’d do anything he can to support her and if I needed any help I was to contact him and the team. nice to see there are staff out there like him who Actully help and do there job to a high standard.

  Nice stay , met by really friendly and customer focused receptionist . I asked her name as was so lovely the lady was called Frances very knowledgeable of the area and hotel simply great at her job and made us feel welcome a credit to the business . Lovely breakfast, chef cooked fresh vegetarian sausages on request and everything you could want was available . First room was very warm , was changed with no problem instantly ( but this is not a staff problem it’s the building ) moved to a larger room nice and cool with the best fan nice extra in room . Had a problem with a sink and the property manager came and fixed with in moments ( another friendly chap ) Great stay to be near London loads of parking & very comfy beds Good value !

  Hotel itself is a little tired. Would be good to have the plus option of air con rooms. But the rooms are always clean and comfortable bed. The staff on the other hand on reception are a nightmare. Always goes badly if the self service machines are out of order. Kitchen staff are great. However, the younger staff walking round in suits and checking themselves out in the lift mirrors should maybe try to pay a little more attention to paying customers...

  I recently stayed at the Premier Inn in Welwyn Garden City. The staff were genuinely doing their best and were very helpful throughout my stay. However, the hotel is struggling with the current hot weather conditions. Rooms really need proper air‑conditioning, as the temperature in mine reached 29°C, which is far too high to provide comfortable accommodation. I tried opening the window, but it faced a railway track only about 20 yards away, making it too noisy. A very helpful member of staff kindly moved me to another room away from the trains, but unfortunately it was still extremely warm. Fans are provided, though they need to run at full power and are quite noisy. I understand these are extreme weather conditions, but given the price paid, I expected a more comfortable environment.

  Shower area was dirty with empty shower gel bottle, filthy shower curtain and a towel with a hole in it. Finally the room is just stiflingly hot. There is no air conditioning and although it's cooled down to 21° outside it must be at least 27° inside at 10:13pm and I've had the window open all evening. I would never book this hotel again and highly advise against it. Bit of an update - after two awful nights I was moved to a downstairs north facing room and it is much better. Around 4° cooler, clean as you would expect and with a proper shower (not a bath with a curtain). So it looks like half the stay will be very pleasant and half terrible. Be careful what room you get here.
