  We stayed just one night to visit family, the service and check in was efficient and fast. The room, ours was on the ground floor facing the carpark, was newly refurbished I think, it was pristine and extremely comfortable. Although very hot. There was a very efficient fan in the room to use. During our stay, the fire alarm went off twice it was a sensor in the kitchen, it was dealt with really quickly and without fuss by the chap on the desk. Wed definitely staying here again when visiting family .

  The rooms were faultless as usual with premier inn,the xomfy beds ect and nice and clean but the pub adjacent to the hotel has closed down so it appears that they have sacrificed a few rooms of the hotel to create a very small restaurant inside the hotel so people can eat and drink.brilliant idea I thought.upon walking into the bar/restaurant we were met with a lady who abruptly asked 'have you booked to which I replied no as the receptionist never told us we needed to book.The waitress let out a big sigh and unapologetically led us a table.we ordered a drink and she made it clear she wanted us in and out as quick as possible which was fine tbh as we just needed food after a day working.i ordered the chicken tikka and it was disappointing to say the least.it looked good on the plate but there was absolutely no taste to the chicken and it most definitely not tikka. My work colleague ordered fish and chips and it was most definitely a birds eye or a youngs frozen fillet from morrisons at best.there is no wonder hotel residents are sat outside on the old pub benches ordering food to be delivered from local takeaway in a nutshell the rooms are nice but avoid the food.

  Easy to get to , nice size room clean and tidy , good breakfast , pleasant staff. Had a good peaceful night.

  Never come here in the summer. Effectively a winter-only hotel. Stayed during record-breaking high temps in May, no air conditioning and the west-facing room window was left open all day so the room was already 29°C. Had to try to sleep in 30.5 °C heat all night. Very unhappy. The room must have been above the hotel's "restaurant" so we got to smell beef tallow constantly. Second night asked reception if there was anything they could do or recommend to make the room cooler. I was loaned a grimey extension cord and a top sheet. Was able to jerryrig the fan into the window and start to draw out some of the warm air bringing the room down to a more tolerable 26.5 °C at least. Not how I wanted to spend my vacation. Don't come here in the summer.
