  Good room although a bit on the small side for a Premier plus room. Breakfast quality was ok. Service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff, especially Tracy. Car park is a bit tight for larger cars, and given it's nowhere near the centre of Winchester, a bit cheeky charging for parking, even when you've paid for a room. Saying that, the overnight charge was £3.50 at the time of writing this, so the rate is at least reasonable. Pay machine was hard to find.

  The water machine is a lovely idea in reception and appreciated. This is unusual to find as most premier inns do not provide this. The staff are very friendly and helpful here.

  It’s Premier Inn, so you know what you’re getting Bit cheeky charging £3.50 for overnight parking tho! Check your reservation dates carefully when booking, as I was the 3rd person that day who found that there booking date had mysteriously changed from the original date specified, we’d all booked for 31 May and all : bookings had changed to 5 July, hence our booking s were not there on the auto check- in, the receptionist was able to change my dates for that night, but with a £15 surcharge, so check carefully, as if you go in and out of different room choices, it sets the default date to a future date on their website, it can’t just be a coincidence that 3 of us experienced the same issue Public areas looking a bit tired, time for a refurb it is what it is for £50 a night Do like their £10.99 breakfasts though

  Great Stay with Fantastic Service We had a really pleasant stay here, largely thanks to the incredible staff. Barry and Tracy and all the other staff truly went the extra mile to make us feel welcome; they were exceptionally friendly and made our mornings. The Food & Room The breakfast was really lovely with a stacked up plate! Definitely a highlight of the stay and a great way to start the day. As for the room, it was perfectly "okay" and met our needs. The only very minor issue was some scuff marks on the headboard which I didn't expect in a premium room but it didn't impact our comfort at all. We also were given brand new pillows that were nice and comfortable. Location & Access A quick heads-up on the location: The Moors: Looking at the map, it appeared like there would be direct access to the moors right from the hotel. However, there isn’t a cut-through, so you have to head about 10 minutes down the road to find the actual entrance. Transport: It is also a bit of a walk to the nearest station, so keep that in mind if you are arriving by train or planning to use the rails for day trips. Overall, a solid stay with standout service. We would definitely return for the hospitality alone!
