Highly recommended if in the area and we will be back. Simon and the team (sorry I’ve forgotten all of their names, I think one was Suma) were fantastic and all staff smiled and were friendly. This is a newly opened property and everything is (obviously) new and clean. The rooftop terrace is fantastic. The hotel does allow dogs for a small fee. All of the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating with our stay which was a large wedding party with multiple changes during our booking. This hotel was booked last minute after a Marriott property let us down. Make sure you follow the instructions for pre-booking parking with the discount code which is separate to the hotel but very convenient. Air conditioning is very effective in the rooms and the shower is nicely done. No complaints over room sizes or amenities from the Americans in our group. Only thing missing in the room are flannels/face towels/wash cloths but they ARE available if you ask reception.

Loved my one-night stay here for a recent business trip. The hotel is brand new, well designed and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable – temperature adjustable A/C, walk-in showers and super cozy bed. Breakfast for £15 was excellent value and is a mix of a-la-carte and buffet. Coffee is proper espresso from a proper machine. Staff were brilliant. Would absolutely stay here again. Paid £130.

Great welcome, very thorough with status level noted, rewards offered and also an upgrade, but more than one level as was our wedding anniversary. Corner Suite was allocated which was fantastic. Big room, table and 4 chairs, sofa bed and coffee table and small desk and chair – 65IN TV with swivel mount so could move to see from the bed or sofa....great touch! Shortly after a bottle of Moet, some small cakes and 2 gift bags with various gifts which blew us away. Had booked a breakfast for the next morning around 830, as was £15 rather than £20 on the day / in the restaurant. Shown to our table. 4-5 minutes before drinks were ordered and hot breakfast order placed. Wife is a vegetarian so had the veggie breakfast without the mushroom (dislike) and also some gluten free toast on the side. I ordered a full english. 15 mins or so later, my full english arrived, very small and 2 strips of bacon so crispy they disintegrated rather than could be cut,1 sausage, 1 mushroom. 1 half of a tomato, tiny ramakin of baked beans and a fried egg, but wasn`t asked what eggs I wanted. Wifes breakfast, no mushroom, but also no veggie sausage and no hash brown, two slices of one side toasted gluten free bread and not on the side. We looked at the area where the continental breakfast items were to find it virtually empty of everything. No muffins, croissants, pain au chocolates, greek yoghurt, bread for toast . Was incredibly disappointing, don`t think I have seen it as bad in any other IHG property apart from the O2 Intercontinental lounge a while ago. My wife asked for the Greek Yoghurt to be topped up which was done, but as such a small bowl, one gentleman got there before my wife and pretty much cleaned it our so she had to ask again. Seen this in a few Indigo`s particularly Exeter, were they use small bowls the same size as those used to eat from so it takes a few spoon full`s to be emptied. It wasn`t very busy so I don`t know why the staff aren`t replenishing stuff much much quicker. It really comes down to the F+B Manager to implement practices so that this doesn`t happen. So even for £15 each was incredibly disappointing. Even the couple on the table next to us were given the wrong order and when the correct order arrived there were still errors, so they were incredibly disappointed overall. We had my welcome drink + snack vouchers and used them in Crimson Spire around 730-745ish. The barman was a top chap, polite curteous and everything you could ask for. Just for the snacks the kitchen had closed so had to just have some nuts. He did advise that the kitchen would be open until the following night so we did arrive before then and had some very nice snacks, jacket potatoes & chicken skewers. Breakfast on the second morning, as thought it can`t be the same again, arrived same time 830 ish, shown to the table, 5 mins after drink and food ordered place. Some time after it arrived. Again my wifes Gluten Free toast only 1 slice and done one side again. This time a veggie sausage but no hash brown and really looked disappointing . Just a few items on a plate, please try and make it more appetising. I do know that what a difference the chef can make, as at Torquay a few weeks ago, first morning amazing breakfast, second morning one of the worst with errors and re-cooks. My full english was a little better this time , the bacon was not like concrete and I was asked how I wanted my eggs., but still not really “full” as so small. Again a bit of effort on presentation though goes a long way. There was also a large bowl for the yoghurt this time and also pastries and bread were available. However it still looks a little sparce so don`t know how this can be improved to look more (better stocked) and more appealing Will we be back? Yes............as a new hotel always has a few teething problems and nothing that overly worried us just a few tweaks. Thank you for having us!
