  We were at this hotel with the coach JAK travel through Albatross, This hotel was brilliant, very clean very friendly, food was buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal which is better because you can manage your portions better, less food wasted, the rooms were very clean beds very comfortable. Staff brilliant throughout the hotel. Well recommend… pet friendly too… bonus …

  Staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. Special shout out to Marcel (behind the bar serving beautiful coffee) and a lovely Spanish girl (didn’t catch her name) who was so friendly and helpful on Friday night catering service. Fabulous to see such enthusiasm and energy from both 🙏

  I recently had a very disappointing experience with this Holiday Inn that has seriously damaged my confidence in the IHG brand. After working all day and travelling for more than three hours, I arrived at the hotel at around 9:30pm only to be told that, due to a “system error”, the hotel had been overbooked and my room was no longer available. I was then informed that I would need to move to another hotel for the night. What made the situation even more frustrating was that staff admitted they had known about the issue throughout the day, yet nobody attempted to contact me in advance. Had I been informed earlier, I could have made alternative arrangements or adjusted my plans accordingly. Instead, I only discovered this after an exhausting day of work and travel. The alternative accommodation provided was also a downgrade from what I had originally booked. I had reserved a double room but was moved into a twin room at another hotel with no gym and pool (the reason I booked this hotel) which was far below the standard I expected. To make matters worse, I was initially told I may even have to pay more at the alternative hotel because of Holiday Inn’s overbooking issue, although this was eventually price matched. The fact this was even suggested was unbelievable. Despite the inconvenience, disruption, and poor handling of the situation, the only compensation offered was a few points added to my account. As an IHG Member who has stayed with Holiday Inn many times over the years, I found the complete lack of communication, organisation, and customer care extremely disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled from start to finish was unacceptable and fell far below the level of service I would expect from IHG. I have had emails from the operations manager who has admitted this was unacceptable and again offered some points. He has also now gone silent on me and that is the reason for my review on here!
