  Nice enough for a place to sleep, but it’s looking a little dated and could do with a refresh. Breakfast was ok, but I would’ve liked a bit more variety of options. The staff were fantastic even when the fire alarm went off.

  Another excellent stay for work. Great location & as usual Tanis looking after everything at breakfast. A excellent member of staff 5* Every hotel should have a Tanis!!

  We stayed over night on the way to and from our holiday in Cornwall. We had a baby and 2 dogs with us. The service was impeccable and when we required the beds set up differently for our circumstances, they assisted without issue and seamlessly completed the task whilst we were out for tea. The doggy welcome packs were a lovely addition and the rooms were clean and amenities provided. The only issue on the first stay was the temperature of the room was very high and difficult to lower even with window open. However, they did provide a fan and we didn't have the issue on the second visit.

  Not a bad place to stay for a night or two, but it could definitely use a few tweaks. The biggest issue in the room was the lack of plug sockets, making it pretty tough to charge a couple of devices easily. Breakfast was just okay and nothing special, but it does the job to start the day. It is fine if you just need a basic, no frills room to crash in, though a few upgrades would make a big difference.

  Stayed there for 2 months or so on and off due to work commitments in Gloucester. Very good value for money. Staff are truly fantastic, and I can't praise them enough. All were very helpful and friendly during my extended stay at the Hotel. The english cooked breakfast is very good and starts serving at 6am which was a bonus as I start work at 7.30. Easy access from the M5/A38 and around 20 minutes from city centre by car even in rush hour. The only negative is how hot it got in the rooms, particularly on the upper floors during the heatwave. There were fans in every room I stayed in, but there's no A/C and safety straps only allow windows to open around 100mm. The reception, dinning area and bar has A/C, so there was some respite from the heat at it's worst
