  The receptionist, Yvette, looked after us brilliantly — she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding, with a large coffee and very tasty food, and we could have breakfast until 1 pm, which is a huge advantage for anyone who wants to rest a bit before eating. The hotel has everything close by: several restaurants and a petrol station. The location is excellent and, despite being near the motorway, it’s very quiet and you sleep really well. I recommend the hotel 100%.

  I have to give this place just one star as we arrived at 2am in morning after a late flight , when we arrived there was nobody to check us in and there was a notice on the desk to call a phone number which we didn’t, however it just called a phone that was sitting on a desk in reception so nobody could hear it , 30+ minutes later someone arrived to check us in and no apology for the long wait and we were not made to feel welcome at all, the rooms are in urgent need of an update , we had a family room and one of the beds was just a mattress on the floor . I urge anyone looking for a stop over to spend a few pound more and look elsewhere

  Another perfect stay for me. Clean, quiet family room with hot shower for 4. Always let us use the fridge for our cold things. Friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11pm, quick easy check in. Room in car park which is so close to the reception door it is perfect. Super fast Tesla charger as well. £57 total. I love these places. That has the by 10*

  Absolutely awful. Family room, ground floor- I can cope with old furnishings but not with dirty rooms. I'm talking months of dirt build up. The light switches- filthy, the radiators, laced with dust. The bath panel, grimey. Taps- hard toothpaste residue. Paint on the walls, peeled off, mold in bathroom. Toe nail clippings on the floor and hairs left behind. Curtains had holes and stains. Kettle full of marks, one suspicious blood stain. Tried to get another room. Only other family one didn't have beds made up. It was 11pm and we had two children asleep so had to endure it- sleeping on the top of the bed. Offered new kettle. Given but didn't use. Shocked and flabbergasted that this was the standard of Days in. Won't be returning or booking the chain again. Refund given but that does not take away the fact that this was a crack den.

  Stayed at Days Inn Michaelwood services for three nights. Arrived in our room to bins full of other peoples’ rubbish. Sign in bathroom said put towels on the floor if you want them changed; did so the first day but found them still wet and dirty on the floor that evening. Next day put the sign on the door “please clean my room” that was provided to us. Still came back to pile of dirty towels and no cleaning done. Front desk staff totally ambivalent saying the cleaners only change towels “after so many days” but with no indications of how many days that would be. Does not align with policy posted on their website of daily housekeeping services.
