If you're looking for a warm welcome at a budget price point, then look no further. It's the ideal business short stay hotel, especially when events around the city elevate Central hotels out of budget. Outside of the town centre, this hotel offers complimentary parking and is co located with a Wetherspoons, so the meals are expenses friendly. Breakfast is in the hotels own small restaurant and cooked to order which is really nice. I've given 5 stars for location, but that's only form the perspective of it being outside of the centre of Glasgow and not particularly close to the hotel, but is of course relative to where you need to be whilst you're here. I was only a 9 minute drive from work, so it was ideal for me. It's also only a short walk from the train station. The elephant in the room, and the reason I gave it 3 stars, is it's very tired. It needs at least redecorating, a referb would be better. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are large, the bathrooms are spotless clean, as too are the beds. Its not dirty at all, far from it. Its just a little dated, with marks on the walls and furniture. For those in the know, its a transit block! I'd absolutely come back to this Prem Inn, and will, but that's because of the friendliness of the staff. The price point, the Wetherspoons and location to my work helps too. In many respects, it's the perfect business hotel, as well as a stop over if you're heading north.

There's nothing premier about this inn, certainly based on my experience of room 20. Despite smoking in hotel rooms in Scotland having been illegal now for around two decades, this room reeked of cigarette smoke. This suggests to me that the fire detection systems don't work. I asked at reception for another room because the smell was dreadful, but none were available, despite the car park being fairly sparsely occupied. The room is desperately in need of upgrading. There is no working extractor fan in the bathroom, leading to rust (even on the door hinges), peeling paint, and mildew. The radiator, when switched on, makes a loud ticking sound every 3 seconds. The skirting boards in the bathroom were manky. The shower drips loudly for around five minutes after turning it off. I don't expect The Ritz, but this was nowhere near what by any stretch of the imagination could be described as "Premier" and Trading Standards should, I think, force them to remove that word from all signage... particularly the one next to the three feet wide by eight inch deep pothole on the exit from the car park.

Was a bit tricky to find, but other than that, it's quite nice.

Hotel is dated, but still clean. Was all i needed. I checked in late, left eairly, no complaints. My key didn't work the first time but the guy on the desk sorted it quickly. He was polite despite it being midnight! Did not get breakfast so can't comment on that.
