  Fantastic stay. Visiting for the commonwealth games. Loved having some Scottish goodies to come back to at reception. Would stay again.

  Wow, what a conversation with Premier Inn customer service. My wife( as of 15/8/26) had booked a 3 night stay as to not see each other before the wedding on Saturday night. Didn't check in till late Friday night but were awoken at 7am Saturday morning with a fire alarm going off as a result of the kitchen smoke apparently. No reason or explanation given but not a good start to the day. Didn't get in till early Sunday morning as of celebrations and were out and about all day Sunday. Had dinner and went to bed about 11 ish not sleeping at first but eventually dropping off only to be awoken by another fire alarm at 2.45 in the morning. Made our way to the assembly point till the fire brigade came and went (fire brigade under 10 minutes) then back to the room but unable to get back to sleep till at least 5.30. No explanation from staff given regarding the alarm. When getting ready to checkout I looked around the room n noticed cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed, not recent, and in the bathroom. Told staff when leaving and were told cleaning would be informed. When we contacted customer service they've kinda called us liars and said there were fires and it was for our safety although a member of staff told us they could see via the cameras there were no fires but she couldn't switch it off as she'd been reprimanded before. We were told that cleanliness of the room should have been reported,even though we did as soon as we noticed, which would have resulted in a room change but we were leaving. No customer service, contradiction to ther guaranteed sleep policy and basically nae luck!!!!

  I've just checked into this Premier Inn and been served by Carol at the reception. The check in was smooth, but more than the technicalities I want to praise the human touch. Carol was an absolute star! My 5 year old was feeling a little shy talking as the Scottish accent is new for him - she patiently waited for him to finish asking his questions and then presented him with a box of chocolate calling him a Mini VIP. My son is over the moon at the kind gesture and so am I 🌛 I later discovered I'd forgotten my phone charger at home and went to see her at the reception desk again unwittingly disturbing her supper - she was super helpful again and conjured up a spare. Definitely need more people like her at service desks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend.

  Really nice place to stay that's reasonable and fair, working away from home for 2 weeks and I couldn't really complain where we were staying. Staff were brilliant anything needed they were very quick to be of hand along with also keeping on top of the place, always cleaning and keeping a good representation of the place. Very happy 👍
