  We arrived quite late at 10:40pm and were greeted by the lovely Jacqui at the front desk. She was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, kind and friendly, which was such a lovely start to our stay. Later, we came down to the bar and were again greeted by Jacqui, along with the lovely Sharon. They poured our drinks and took the time to chat with us about things to do and see in Chester. We were really grateful for their recommendations and local insight! We also really appreciated being offered a late check-out, as it meant we didn’t have to rush while getting ready for our day. Overall, we had an exceptional stay at the Holiday Inn Chester – A55. The wonderful service from Jacqui and Sharon really stood out and made us feel so welcome. I would also like to add that the lovely Chloe on the reception desk on the morning approached me with friendliness and kindness, the staff are outstanding. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. Thank you very much for such a lovely stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

  Stayed here after a break of a few years. Nice to see some degree of renovation taken place and when that continues into the rooms to provide shower cubicles, that will put the top hat on it. The food is excellent here but its the staff that really make it. We were really looked after, and that was whilst there was a wedding reception taking place in the hotel too. Special mention for Deb, absolute superstar with a great sense of humour. But plenty of other staff on the team stepped up too, including the lady on the late night shift that served us late drinks, and the young guy that went out of his way to make sure we had bacon for breakfast, and even had it delivered to our table. A really well run hotel that makes you feel really welcome.

  Yum, yum, yum! 😋. We stopped for a meal at the hotel’s restaurant while on a road trip because we were famished. We even started eating before I remembered taking pictures hence the altered plates😉. The food was absolutely delicious. Whether it was because we were starving or it really was that good, I honestly don’t know—but in my mind, it’s a well-deserved 5⭐️. Definitely worth the stop!

  Room need modifying hand rails in bathroom not a bit of good not placed correctly bath with overhead showers not really good for accessibility. Breakfast was a shambles no fried eggs no scrambled eggs ect ect. See your server to order porridge no server no porridge.

  After a very dramatic weekend for me and my fiance, we were treated fantastically at this hotel. Checking in at 23:30pm wasn’t an issue, and Ciaran was brilliant in checking us in and gave us a free upgrade to a queen sized room following personal events, which was something very unexpected but grateful for. The breakfast had a great range of choice and the older woman (didn’t catch her name unfortunately) helped us to a later checkout of 2pm again at no extra cost. Both me and my partner were treated so well by all the staff at this place, and everyone that works there are so friendly and welcoming, thank you all for making our weekend slightly better. Josh & Lauren.
