Found out after we had booked and paid that the restaurant was closed and there was limited parking. Then the lift broke down on the first day and was off for the duration of our stay

Regularly stays in Prem Inns and don't ever leave a review but I feel this wasn't up to the £70 odd I paid for it. Room was tired, various issues (lamp button picture sums it up) Worst of all was the creaking hinge on the fire door outside room 301. Every time someone passed my room I was woken up. More of a restless wake up guarantee than a good night one! Booked into Edinburgh Park soon and seriously thinking of cancelling as I'm sick of getting sub par service for my money

Please read if booking the accessible room!!
This was by far the most inaccessible “accessible” room so far. I don’t use a wheelchair but I use a walking stick whenever I need to, so I always try to book an accessible room so that the shower is a walk in one rather than a bath with a shower in it. For some reason, this room had the latter. There was no bath mat provided, which was stressful as this made it hard for me to get into the shower as it was quite slippy. The water itself would go from extreme hot to extreme cold then lukewarm until the cycle repeated several seconds later. What’s worse is that the shower completely flooded not just the bathroom, but soaked the carpet in the main room! See the pics to see that there is no plausible explanation for this given the distance between the shower and the door.
I was only staying for one night, so unfortunately only brought one pair of socks with me, which got soaked through due to this. I therefore couldn’t do anything I had planned to do the next day as I couldn’t walk around anymore. I showered at night and they were still soaked through by the next morning. I have a disability called Ehlers-Danlos so having to try to avoid the wet carpet every time I went in and out of the bathroom really impacted my pain levels in my ankle, knees, hips and back (which I’m still recovering from).
I really would’ve appreciated an offer of a refund when I reported this to the receptionist, as this completely ruined my stay by making me have to cut it short. My plan was to see the Kelpies which I never got to do the night before due to Sunday service, which another receptionist was made aware of. Biggest waste of money and I have no idea how it’s acceptable for an “accessible” room to not have an accessible shower!
The restaurant was also shut so there was no dinner, and breakfast was just a few pastries and cereal boxes by reception, but as they didn’t have plant milk (I have dairy intolerance), I couldn’t exactly benefit from this either.
The staff were lovely but unfortunately that was the only positive about my stay.

Good room as it was a family room with big bathroom but I must say the rooms was rather hot at night even with the aircon on mattress was very uncomfortable and we have a similar hard mattress at home the bar down stairs well we go to the hotel around 9 o'clock and we fort after a 6hrs drive up we would go for a pint or two we thats all it was as they stopped surviving drinks at 9.30 so we ordered 2 lagers then to be told we can't have any more and need to drink up so we ordered 2 each drank one and took the other to the room so that was that for the night

Central is a bit of a strange location as it's not central, good for arriving by car but not so on public transport, the flooring in the room was loose and lumpy under the carpet, as if the floor had been ply lined and the ply had come loose and there weren't any usb sockets in the room, cleanliness was ok, not dirty but not clean to the standard I've seen on many other PI sites. Room was quiet except for the family in the next room and the air con kept the room a good temperature, whoever came up with the light card wants a raise, first time we've been given one. Breakfast was unusual as there wasn't the usual choices for continental and it didn't appear that cooked breakfast was a buffet like every other site I've visited. Staff were fairly helpful though they did appear stretched.
