  Excellent location on our journey north. We enjoyed our stay. The manager Scott brought a real human presence to the hotel. Having his name displayed at reception added to the friendliness of the place. The whole feel of this Premier Inn was very different to the one that we stayed at in York last week. Why does this hotel chain believe that less humans to welcome guests is better?

  bof pas grand chose a dire hôtel formule 1 écossais , accueil nul , réception nul , chambre moyenne avec 1 serviette pour deux personnes , pas de restaurant , donc pas de petit déjeuner , ou si plutôt des distributeurs de merde , avec des croissants sous plastique , pas du tout la prestations que j'avais payé . a evité sous tout point extra nul

  The staff were really lovely but the hotel is currently refurbishing the dining area so there were workmen around from 8am with associated noise. A complimentary 'buffet' style breakfast was left out in the reception area with cereals, milk, fruit juice, some pieces of not so fresh fruit and croissants wrapped in cellophane. A coffee machine was available until the end of breakfast time slot. The rooms themselves were clean but very much in need of upgrading. My bathroom cupboards were old and chipped. There was a ceiling panel lifted with a gap around its edge. I have never paid so much (£100 a night for a mid-week room which included a little extra to insure against cancellation) for a Premier Inn room. With the work going on on-site I would have thought the prices might have reflected this inconvenience. The location of the hotel however was excellent- a 20 minute walk into Falkirk itself and about a 30 minute walk along the canal to the Falkirk Wheel with a nice cafe. The Canada Wood Estate is well worth a visit - a few miles away by car- and it has a superb cafe offering excellent food.

  I had an excellent stay here,even though it was under construction they made sure I had everything I needed. While I was there I fell ill and the girl working the evening shift really went above and beyond helping me. My phone wasn't working so she helped me get food delivered 2 nights in a row. She was super kind, I think her name is Jennifer. Everything was clean, and they kept me stocked on tea and snacks while I was recovering. I'm very grateful for all the assistance. Also the free parking is definitely a plus. Would definitely stay here again.

  Stayed here for business and it was all looking a bit sad. I’ve stayed in a lot of Premier Inn hotels so I have a lot to compare it to. The restaurant was closed whilst they do the work on the crusade to close all the pubs and the room was looking very tired. The air con control was loose on the wall. A small selection of breakfast items were provided complementary whilst the building work was going on which was appreciated, although the coffee machine was out of milk.
