- JTJoanne Turner3 days ago3.0Rooms are tired but clean. Room numbers make no sense making it harder to find the rooms. No aircon in the rooms, which with the heatwave we were having made it fairly unbearable and impossible to sleep, there were 2 fans in the room, but still far too hot. Could definitely do with a refurbishment. The lock on the door between reception and the corridor to the rooms was broken, so was left propped open which wasn’t very secure and made me nervous overnight as a lone parent travelling with my child. The reception staff tried to be helpful, but had an air of stress that made you feel as though you were causing problems and she was also really quite sharp in her tone which didn’t make us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fairly good if a bit underdone in places. Hash browns not cooked sufficiently. Location is ok with a decent pub next door. But a fair drive to get to where we wanted to get. Overall average. Certainly not up to the standard of other premier inns I’ve stayed in, sadly.
