Rooms are tired but clean. Room numbers make no sense making it harder to find the rooms. No aircon in the rooms, which with the heatwave we were having made it fairly unbearable and impossible to sleep, there were 2 fans in the room, but still far too hot. Could definitely do with a refurbishment. The lock on the door between reception and the corridor to the rooms was broken, so was left propped open which wasn’t very secure and made me nervous overnight as a lone parent travelling with my child. The reception staff tried to be helpful, but had an air of stress that made you feel as though you were causing problems and she was also really quite sharp in her tone which didn’t make us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fairly good if a bit underdone in places. Hash browns not cooked sufficiently. Location is ok with a decent pub next door. But a fair drive to get to where we wanted to get. Overall average. Certainly not up to the standard of other premier inns I’ve stayed in, sadly.

Lovely hotel with great rooms and very helpful staff. Check in was easy, restaurant food was reported as very nice by one of our party.
There is also a pub situated right next to the hotel which from what I could see sales food etc which is an added bonus.

Everything is fine, except for a huge problem: the lack of air conditioning. Fans don't really provide much cooling when the room temperature is 31 degrees. The hotel also needs a renovation.

Consistent with the service and facilities you get in a Premier Inn. The breakfast as good plants based vegan options but you need to request them from the chef. Plant based yogurt would be a good addition.
