Stayed here last night with my partner. Avoid this place in the Summer, no air-conditioning in our room. It was 28 degress Celsius at 11 PM inside. The staircase was really cool but the minute you entered the room, it was like being in a steam room. £104 + £5 for free unlimited wifi… complete waste of money… staff very friendly, not their fault, it’s the company that should not offer such poor quality rooms. No fridge, no pen and paper, the water in the bathroom tasted very odd so don’t swallow when brushing your teeth. Lights from buidling across the road were so bright, it was difficult to leave curtains open to keenp air in at night :(

Came here for a family holiday as it was a hotel right on the beach front with free parking and had some good reviews. It was a family holiday with a family room, with 2 adults and 2 children, plus one more room for another adult. The room set up was nice. It was basically fold out single beds for the kids that were right next to the double bed. One was pretty firm but the kids found it OK. We were here for 5 nights during a week where the weather temp was between 33°c to 25°c during the day. The room was ridiculously hot and humid all day everyday!! Room comes with one fan which did nothing to cool the room. The room temp averaged mostly at 31.5°c with the lowest at 28°c. Way too hot to sleep or do anything in the room for long periods. We got another fan when we asked at reception but that didn't help. Luckily we had some handheld fans which helped the kids a tiny bit to sleep. This hotel definitely needs AC! Even the hallway is overly warm but still cooler than the rooms. The windows don't open enough to make a difference. The bathroom is so humid that nothing dries and we had some very near serious falls from slips in the bath so I would definitely recommend getting a bathmat from reception (which is what we ended up doing). It's a shame that the room temperature is so off putting as the service is actually really good and the room and bathroom was clean and nice looking. I however would never come back here or recommend it to anyone. If anything, I would go out of my way to steer people away from booking here. Being close to the beach and free parking is not worth it for the lack of food and the inhospitable rooms. Please reconsider booking here when the weather is warm/ hot if you struggle with your room being over 30°c both day and night with no relief other than sitting outside on benches in Toby Carvery's beer garden. The temp outside was 18° our room thermostat said the room was 30.5°! I would have possibly thought it was just our room with the number of people in it was causing the heat but the other room we booked with just one adult also had the same issue although at least their room was one degree cooler than ours. Do also consider that the car park is shared with Toby Carvery which is regularly used by their customers. I came back to my car after a few days to see a scratch on the side of it. Oh and considering the hotel is right on the beach front, don't expect a seaview. Our room over looked some bushes.

Very disappointed at the premier inn Thorpe bay. I came with a 5 year old on 22 July 26. After checking in, we asked for a room change as the room we got was facing the parking lot and had a lot of noise and was very hot. We asked for a room facing the other side. The receptionist named Justin very curtly said they were full. However I tried to book more rooms on online for that day and it clearly showed rooms were available. Due to this bad service we spent an uncomfortable night.

Stayed here to attend a family members funeral. Sadly, whilst the lady on reception when we arrived was lovely and the room was clean, that's pretty much where the positives ended. The room was very warm and the 'air conditioning' was blowing out warm air. The toilet hadn't been cleaned too well, their was also hair left in the shower. We didn't sleep particularly well either, the bedding again, had hair left under the duvet and the pillows didn't smell particularly fresh. It's been a few months since we visited and I hope things have improved, but for now, I wouldn't return. There is free parking, and it is a short walk to the beach. We tried to discuss this with the gentleman on reception in the morning but he didn't seem particularly approachable, so we left without saying anything. For the price we paid, we expected much better from Premier Inn and sadly, they didn't deliver
