- MPMark P1 day ago5.0Arrived around 9pm last night only to find that our room had been double booked. But the way the situation was dealt with was impeccable. Our thanks to Laura on reception for both finding another alternative room and making it ready for us, she was superb! Huge thanks also go to Lewis in the bar for sorting out our drinks and getting us a comfy corner, he was brilliant! And thanks to Olivia in the bar for her kindness and to Dan and George in the kitchen for sorting out our food. To the management of Premier Inn at Saffron Walden, I genuinely hope that you reward this magnificent team of staff as they are a credit to your company. The best customer service we've ever encountered. Thanks guys, you're the best!

We had a young lad called Lewis as our server both nights and he honestly make it such a lovely experience. He made sure to include our little one, Amazing customer service from him.

- RSRichard ScottJul 23, 20261.0Was given a room where the bed had been made but the sheets hadn't been changed from the previous occupants and the room or bathroom hadn't been cleaned. After complaining, the receptionist offered me clean sheets to change the bed myself. When I said this wasn't acceptable I was told the only room available was an upgrade and I would pay extra. When I said this also wasn't acceptable I was finally offered a clean room at no extra charge. He also commented that the same thing had happened with 2 or 3 rooms the previous night so this was obviously not an isolated incident. I would also note that the corridors in the hotel did not look like they had been vacuumed for some time and some of the rubbish on the floor looked like it probably came from the cleaner cart.
