Great value for money. Easy check in and out and everything in the room as expected.

Booked in for a couple of days whilst visiting family. Rooms are very clean, no complaints about the hotel or service. Good number of parking spaces and spaces for blue badge holders but on the second night of our visit a good number of “work vans” were actually parked in the disabled bays.

Rooms here are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable with a decent mattress. The breakfast was superb (cooked and continental).
However, I had a bad night sleep each night of my stay as the fire alarm went off three times in the first night and twice in the second night. Apparently, the first night was due to a guest smoking in 116 and the second was another guest smoking.
My own fire alarm went off too but this was because I had a shower and the detector triggered from the heat.
I think the hotel was a faulty or overly sensitive system. On the first night my stay was completely ruined and I was going to move but was told that the guest had been removed. When I came back at 4pm, the fire alarm was blaring and apparently he had not left!!!
My issue is that of the hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed in, I’ve never experienced this. Guests must smoke in rooms (though they shouldn’t!) but the alarm sounds in the room and unless it’s not silenced (by airing out the room) it doesn’t trigger the alarm in the whole hotel.
Here, the alarm triggers hotel-wide immediately.
You may think this is a good idea but every guest is paying the price for some random person smoking. And frankly, I just want to sleep. I don’t want to be disturbed by this. The alarm is extremely loud as well, I was totally freaked out by it the first time as I was in a deep sleep.
The staff didn’t care about this and it seemed like a frequent occurrence.
Despite all this, the irony is that premier in has a “good night sleep guarantee.” Having had two bad nights sleep, their response was a shrug.
Bad night sleep guaranteed in my experience.
Finally free WiFi is extremely poor. If you want WiFi you’ll need to pay for it.
