The park was great for our 4 day break with a dog. We had a luxury caravan right by the shop great access and shady in the heat. Balcony was a great addition to sit a relax. The caravan had a perfect set up so much space and lovely and clean. A few imperfections around but it’s a used caravan so to be expected. The kitchen was well set up but the knives were a bit dull, if planning on cooking everyday could use a bit of an update. The staff were friendly! Alex (I think his name was) was great doing multiple roles over the days we saw him. We had a quick dip in the pool when no one else was there, basic but warm so not much to say about it. Our dog loved the beach and it’s super catered for dogs including a goodie bag for him on arrival which was lovely. We took the foot ferry to Brightlingsea which was fun but not much to do there on a weekday and the good beach is not dog friendly. We also went to west Mersea beach which was lovely but the whole island is very tidal so watch tide times if you don’t want to walk miles in the mud to swim. 2 downsides for us, we checked in on a Sunday at 4pm but the bar/food venue closed at 3pm so luckily we had brought frozen pizzas but we really didn’t fancy cooking on the first night. Guest services closes at 5pm as well so we were lucky to not be too delayed. We also couldn’t get any food on our last night because there was no chef which was a shame as we were looking forward to a last dinner and drink. Overall a great park, the owners are very friendly and it was exactly what we wanted for a quiet break away! Would recommend.

Loved this place. We booked the cottage and a few caravans, all were extremely clean and well presented. Great for the dogs, lots of scenic walks and they are allowed in the club house. Food from the little van was delicious (open weekends) and the entertainment on Saturday evening was good. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely pub in walking distance. We will definitely be back ❤

Really enjoyed it here, we were in #17 The elms. It wasn't busy, so nice and quiet. We had the pool to ourselves the first day (Thurs) and only one other family the next. It would've been nice to have an extra hour as it went quickly. The pool does not have a lifeguard and we brought our own noodles, floats and pool sink toys. (Nothing large like rubber rings as it may be busy) The shop was in low supply so glad I brought alot of things from home and there was a Tesco or coop about 10 mins drive away. The weather worked well and driving 13 mins to mersea pontoon to go crabbing was absolutely worth it! Even though it was a chilly April, we caught plenty. Signal is weak and internet is VERY low (free WiFi) but as we were away as a family it didn't bother us much. Only during downtime in the evenings, so don't expect much unless u have your own and can hotspot or pay for the service. Over all I'd come back and would recommend, its been a great few nights away from routine day to day life.
