- SMsam morrisJun 11, 20264.0The hotel itself was lovely, room was clean and spacious. Staff very helpful. The disappointment was with the food and service from the bar staff and servers. We were two families ( 5 people) sat at one table. One ordered a starter and a main meal and the other four ordered a main and a desert each. First the starter came out with the mains. Then they took all our dirty plates away and nothing for 45 mins. So I asked at the bar about deserts and the barman said he'd check. 25 mins later still nothing, so I asked the same barman again. He admitted he'd forgotten to ask and he'll do it straight away. 5 mins later one dessert came out. Another 10 mins later and nothing so I now went to the bar and explained the whole situation to a different barman and he got the desserts sent out a whole 2 hours and 15 mins after ordering them. And the restaurant was not even busy.
