  Tried rooms in need of a makeover. Frayed carpets. Bathroom very basic, with Silverfish.

  Mixed experience. Breakfast superb and Kelly the breakfast chef was constantly topping up the cooked food selection and it was very hot and fresh. The lady at the front of the breakfast service (didn’t catch her name) was so friendly and welcoming and asked how everything was. Breakfast service/food/atmosphere was 10++++! Dinner in the Marco Restaurant was not so good. We’d prebooked as there was a big group of us and the food came out in stages with some people finishing before others had started and the pizza was luke warm with barely any topping. The hotel staff were doing their very best but hadn’t planned for so many people, despite the bookings. The hotel staff kindly gave us a big discount and the kids meals were free. We’d def come back due to the friendliness of the staff, comfort and convenience and superb breakfast. Thanks Holiday Inn Brentwood :)

  Booked this hotel and paid over the odds for the convenience of EV chargers. After a 5 hour journey I then spent another hour attempting to get one of the 8 chargers to work. Went into reception to request help. I was greeted with “none of them work, they’re doing my head in, you’ll have to go off site to a fast charger.” I was then charged for parking and EV charging. Complete joke!! The rooms are very dated and tired and I was woken by other guests at 1am, 3am and 5am. Screaming and shouting in corridors, banging on doors etc. I called reception on each occasion and they failed to deal with them. I paid £140 plus parking and EV charging for a dreadful stay and nights sleep.

  I visited the Holiday Inn London, Brentwood (i.e. 2/10/26 - 3/10/26) to attend a joint birthday party celebration in the evening - I also stayed at the hotel. On checking in at reception, I felt that I was greeted & treated respectfully and with courtesy by hotel staff. My hotel room was clean and basically served it's purpose for an overnight stay. The only gripe that I might have is that the walls were quite thin and so I could hear quite clearly conversations taking place in the room next door - other than that I had no issues. The hotel was also the venue for the birthday party and was held in a private event room, with a bar. I found the staff in attendance to be both helpful and friendly, with the event very well catered for by the hotel - a good balance of food was served to cater for most palates / food preferences and there was certainly a lot of it. All in all, the attendees at the event appeared to have a good time. Breakfast in the morning was good (with there being the usual options available), as was the omelette ordered - no complaints personally from me here either. As an aside, I did make sure to get to breakfast reasonably early (by 8.00am), before the rush and whilst everything was still very fresh. This was a good idea, as later on the breakfast area did get busy! Again, the staff I came into contact with during breakfast were very helpful and accommodating. Check-out (for me) was very straight forward and without any issues. I only mention this, as I did note that the receptionist I dealt with also had to deal with a potentially difficult / awkward customer and appeared to handle this encounter quite well in my opinion. I would definitely stay there again and would hope to have the same positive experience overall.

  Terrible stay. Upon check in middle of the night we had an awkward encounter front reception staff cant even figure out if we have paid for our room even though my husband had confirmed its all been paid for. Then tried to con us into paying for the room again. Then used his system to check payment actually has been made. Room was filthy stains in floor and tiny shower room. Breakfast was gd and the staff was incredible. But Overall highly not recommended.
