  One night stay in a decent room with air conditioning. All good. What gave it 5 stars is the service at reception with Alice, very helpful and polite. Then the waiter, barman, Thomas. That man will go far- excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and professional. He really made us feel welcome as if it was his own business. This guy needs to be put on a management training course. Front of house.

  Stayed here with my boyfriend unfortunately not a great experience. 1. No aircon working in the rooms, so very hot. But they have air con in the reception area working. 2. Phone signal shocking, barely any signal missed important work calls and the wifi drops out all the time. 3. The room was very out dated and a big grubby especially the carpet. There was a large sofa touching the bed and half way down so you cannot use that side to get in the bed have to both get in the other side. Terrible really. 4. Room was too expensive for such low quality room and no air con and wifi and phone signal. 5. And parking charge of £12 per day..why? simply why? for this location it's not a city centre hotel.

  I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed here for convenience but never dreamed that a hotel in this location would have such poor quality internet. Had issues with dropping connection , and without phone signal in the area you are relying on the hotel to have acceptable internet. They came to have a look but were unable to resolve the fault. I was shocked that they do not have an IT person only a maintenance person. For me it was no good for speaking with customers, using teams, service max or any of the applications I needed. I was not able to work when I needed to. I was promised points because of the most critical service I needed was too poor to function. I was also charged a service charge for dinner. I am happy to pay a service charge if it was room service, or the food is brought to the table but not when you are collecting the food from the bar. I contacted both this hotel reception and the hotel manager and neither came back to me, and no sign of the points promised or the service charge returned to my card as dinner was collected from the bar and therefore no service charge should have been added to my bill without my approval. A most dissatisfactory stay as without working internet when I need it, then it is no use to me.

  As hotels go it's a little tired, but clean and great staff. The breakfast buffet is up to par, but not amazing. The food is reasonable, although not big portions. The staff are friendly, helpful and look after you. The spa is ok, reasonable size pool & sauna. For the price & the convenient location it's somewhere I'd consider staying again.

  I booked to stay at a different hotel and turned up here this morning to ask for their help. The hotel I'd booked didn't offer breakfast until after 8am and as I needed to head out for the day by 8am, I was after an early breakfast to take away. I was met by an incredible bunch of staff who bent over backwards to help. From sorting a takeaway cup and making my coffee, to finding something to put my breakfast in, they genuinely couldn't have done any more. Every single interaction this morning was 5 stars. This team were an absolute credit to the hotel. Thank you.
