Always know what to expect with an older premier inn, no AC in today’s economy but rooms are equipped with a £100 fan (Igenix). Unfortunately myself (220) and my colleague (in two different rooms) were bitten by bites that looked like bedbugs. I would suggest a check on the room mattress's every so often to avoid this.
Plenty of parking, didn’t bother with the breakfast. taps in the sink are outdated. One is boiling hot, the other is cold. Should probably update that with the dual tap at least.

Unable to find the hotel to start with, directions were a bit vague. Staff were great, cooked breakfast was cancelled due to lack of staff. Was refunded. Room was very hot, but fan cooled it down eventually.

A Wednesday night in Basildon, the hottest day ever, staying in a very downmarket, ??hotel?? In Basildon The Premier Inn is not a great experience. Where do I start, the place is falling apart (see pictures) and there is no A/C!! Come on guys this is supposed to be the 21st century. But it’s cheap I hear you say, £195.99 for one person (including breakfast), I think £60 would be too much. I probably won’t bother with breakfast as I just want to get out ASAP. in the morning. I thought this might be an upgrade to the TravelLodge just round the corner which was much cheaper. Surly TravelLodge can’t be worse than this?
So, At the end of the day, when you’re all done in, do not stay in a Premier Inn!
