- CACliff Atkinson5 days ago1.0A Wednesday night in Basildon, the hottest day ever, staying in a very downmarket, ??hotel?? In Basildon The Premier Inn is not a great experience. Where do I start, the place is falling apart (see pictures) and there is no A/C!! Come on guys this is supposed to be the 21st century. But it’s cheap I hear you say, £195.99 for one person (including breakfast), I think £60 would be too much. I probably won’t bother with breakfast as I just want to get out ASAP. in the morning. I thought this might be an upgrade to the TravelLodge just round the corner which was much cheaper. Surly TravelLodge can’t be worse than this? So, At the end of the day, when you’re all done in, do not stay in a Premier Inn!
