  Rooms are so small and even in basement, so claustrophobic!!! But Fergus helped in getting a bit decent room

  Staffs were excellent and very cooperative. But hotels needs improvement in service. Only basic amenities were available. There was no telephone to communicate. Basic toilet kit was not there. One has to carry own shaving kit or tooth care kit or similar things. No proper sitting area inside room.

  First of all, we would like to thank Ms. Birsen for her helpfulness and kindness. Hotel advantages: The hotel's location is excellent, a 5-6 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is quite clean. The staff are friendly. Hotel disadvantages: The rooms are a bit small, the breakfast wasn't very good, it could be improved with some minor adjustments. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, thank you.

  We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh – Royal Mile for our son’s 3rd birthday. A very special thank you to the manager, Birsen, who was incredibly warm, helpful, positive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The whole team was also amazing and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. They prepared such a lovely birthday surprise in our room with balloons, chocolates, sweets, cards, and beautiful decorations for our son. He was absolutely delighted and still talks about it! These small but meaningful touches made our trip unforgettable. The hotel location was perfect and very central, making it easy to explore Edinburgh with a child. We also really enjoyed the hotel bar — it had everything we needed after a long day out. Thank you again to Birsen Hanım and the entire team for making our family trip so special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Edinburgh!
