  This is not worthy of the star rating Google shows. See photos. That being said, the staff is doing their best (and deserve credit)it is a very poorly maintained hotel. Very dirty rooms , in poor repair, very hard beds, air handler didn’t actually work, so we opened the windows to loud traffic noise. Miserable night of sleep.

  Handy base for exploring, 3 minutes to central tram service. Adjacent to Ocean Terminal, Newhaven and Leith. Away from the bustle of the city centre. Decent rooms, accessible facilities, friendly hard-working staff

  Grand hôtel près du port de Leith à Edinburgh; pratique pour les visites du Britannia etc... Breakfast correct, très fréquenté, mais personnel efficace. Chambres fonctionnelles, insonorisées et lit king size 😃. Attention à la propreté des draps, le nôtre avait des traces de sang. Pour le parking de l'hôtel, peu de places et gérées par une société externe.

  Location is great, room is comfortable but facilities really need to be improved. Start from check in, something wrong with the system and we waited more than half hour. Dinning area is way too small for this hotel. We have been given a small table at dog friendly area and next table have a family frightened of dogs?! We end up left without breakfast. For more than £200/ night this is not acceptable. As capital of Scotland the standard is too low compared to England.

  Very disappointing stay, especially for £154 a night. At check-in, our room number was said out loud, raising privacy concerns. The first room was unacceptable — hair and toothpaste left on the sink, poorly vacuumed carpet, and visible skid marks in the toilet. Reception took 10–15 minutes to answer, and despite travelling alone with my 8-month-old baby, I was told to go downstairs myself for a new room key as housekeeping had finished. To make matters worse, shortly after moving rooms, another guest tried to open our door, leaving me feeling unsafe. I was later handed a cracked glass at the bar, and at breakfast was given a broken high chair with no straps for my baby. Although the Duty Manager apologised and offered points, I do not feel this was an appropriate resolution for the poor cleanliness, lack of service, and safety concerns experienced. Overall, not worth the money and a very disappointing experience.
