Great room! Too bad I was only there for one night. Food can be gotten at all hours as well as drinks.
Stayed for one night. Close to the terminal but really too far to walk with luggage. Take the shuttle from bus stop no. 10. Rooms are large and clean. Staff pleasant. Breakfast OK. Bar restaurant has a limited menu and, like most airport hotels, is expensive.

My first stay in a Holiday Inn Express and was not disappointed. From the driver on the shuttle, to the lovely warm welcome at check in, and exceptional service by bar and serving staff I couldnt have had a better start to my stay. I was impressed that ALL staff chipped in and helped each other - great team work. My room looked recently renovated, fresh and clean, really comfortable bed, comfy easy chair with good desk area for business travellers. Very good bathroom with large shower. Menu was good though would like to see more gluten free options. Having said that the Beef pie with gluten free pastry was absolutely delicious (well done chef!) And a dedicated gluten free fryer for chips is great. With the shuttle the location is far enough away not be get too much airport noise but still less than five minutes by shuttle. Early continental breakfast available from 4am and cooked from 6.30am. A great place if you have an early flight or get in late. Only thing I think could have been included during renovation would be USB / cellphone charging facility.

Very nice hotel. Included breakfaat has a good spread as well. Only complaint was we walked from car rental return..and that was a trek since this hotel isn't next to the others.
Very close to airport.
Older, clean room , no USB ports.
Only one outlet for two beds.
More outlets near tv.
No place to put suitcases in room except on the desk, bed, or floor.
Very good bathroom with good shower. Toilet flush button is inconveniently covered by the top lid. You have to get up, close both lids to flush...
=> To get hot water in the sink or shower, you must run water at full power and at maximum hot temperature setting and wait 5 to 6 minutes before hot water is felt. (Room 025, ground floor). Our stay 5 days later (Room 112, 1st floor) has immediate hot water.
Towel rack heated to dry towels or to dry your own clothes if washed in room...
Wall radiator heats room.
No airconditioner. Fan in room.
Light pollution seeps through the curtains at night/early morning.
Very nice customer service!!
Whopping free WiFi speed at an amazing 182 Mbps download, and 171 Mbps upload. The fastest free WiFi speed in Scotland! (and Ireland!) out of all the hotels we stayed at.
Airport to hotel: catch hotel bus at Stand (spot) 10. Tell bus driver your hotel is H/I Express. Free service TO hotel, £2.50 each passenger from hotel TO airport. Pay at hotel counter. Find spot 10 by walking out terminal to sidewalk, turn left and walk @4 to 6 minutes to find spot 10. Renting a car? All rental car agencies are across from spot 10!
Want to catch a bus to EDI city center? That bus is 200 yards prior to spot 10. (same sidewalk): Airlink Express 100, (@bus stop 'A') brings you from airport to "Waverley Bridge", which is walking distance to all the tourist sites including Edinburgh Castle. Cost=£8.50 each person, for the round trip. Pay by credit card at the bus site. Gentlemen has hand held device, or also can pay by card directly with the bus driver.
You're on an island at this hotel. Nothing walkable, food, etc.
Hotel has own restaurant. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner...(and alcohol...) A very good free breakfast is included.
