  Unser Aufenthalt war leider alles andere als schön. Das Personal am Check-in wirkte lustlos, unmotiviert und sichtlich genervt von den Gästen – kein schöner Empfang. Auch der Zustand des Hotels ließ zu wünschen übrig: Das Zimmer war bereits sehr abgenutzt und auf dem Flurteppich befanden sich deutliche braune Flecken. Im Zimmer selbst war das Badezimmer nicht ganz sauber und ein Handtuch war leider mit Flecken verschmutzt. Zudem war das Bett sehr unbequem. Enttäuschend war auch, dass es nur ein kleines Kissen pro Person gab – in anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise waren wir bis zu drei Kissen gewohnt. Das Frühstück war eher sparsam angerichtet. Ein großer Minuspunkt war hier der Service: Benutzte Teller wurden erst abgeräumt, nachdem man den Tisch komplett verlassen hatte, sodass sich das schmutzige Geschirr während des Essens auf dem Tisch stapelte. Für uns leider keine Empfehlung.

  Very good central location. The manager Sarah and her team were excellent. The rooms however are very hit and miss. Initially we were given rooms at the back of the hotel. Small, dingy. Got no sleep whatsoever the first night due to an horrendously noisy extraction system? situated adjacent to the kitchens and directly beneath the room windows. Ruined the start of a four night break. The staff did move us to rooms at the front of the hotel, which were much bigger, brighter and quieter, although the air con / heating system in the corridors, especially by the lifts, is too noisy and disrupts sleep. Unfortunately we will not book again, as it is very much a lottery whether you get a quiet, decent room or a noisy, unpleasant one. Having stayed at numerous Premier Inns over the years, the quality and cleanliness in general has declined, despite rising prices. The bathroom in the second room had a previous guests hair blocking the plughole. Also, using robot vacuum cleaners explains the decline in standards. Will use a different hotel chain in future.

  Very nice venue. Near to all town facilities. We booked evening meal deal and breakfast. Evening meal lovely well done all staff. BREAKFAST WAS HORRENDOUS!! We went down at 9 0 clock and no food left no milk no clean bowls couldn't even have cereal. Think they took to many bookings we waited for about 20 mins slaming and banging of plates and food being put on the bay very, very unprofessional. Personally go but don't stay for breakfast 🥣 it's a nightmare such a shame Durham was lovely.
