Katy on reception was extremely helpful with an odd situation with a room we had, and I couldn't have asked for better service. Location is great for local business trips.

We stayed for two nights, mainly because the hotel is conveniently located for visiting Kynren. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. As soon as we entered our room, there was a strong sewage-like smell. We reported this to reception and asked for it to be investigated, but nothing changed during our stay. Breakfast was also extremely poor. We arrived at 9:45am and most of the buffet was already empty, with hardly any hot food, fruit, pastries or other choices remaining. The food that was available was poor quality, while the buffet and coffee area looked messy and were not being replenished properly. The location was convenient, but the unpleasant smell, lack of response after reporting it and very poor breakfast significantly affected our stay.

Hotel double charged my card for a room on the 17th of July - I have called the hotel 16 times (all recorded) to try and get this sorted and no help. They then advised to speak to corporate - who advised I need to speak to hotel. Manager refuses to take call to get this sorted - this morning I was lied to that the payment had been placed back on card 4 weeks ago - no it has not. This is basically fraud and I will be left with no alternative than to contact my card issuer for a charge back. The charge is only £87.30 - the amount of time I have wasted on this is unbelievable. You would not expect a company of this size to behave like cowboys.
