  ***Important caveat!*** Billy, who was working on the day we went, was excellent and did everything he could to make a dreadful scenario more acceptable. Billy is an absolute hero and Premier Inn should be ashamed for leaving him in the situation he was in. Billy = 5/5 However, Billy was alone (aside from the chef), he was expected to work Reception, room service and the bar (and I imagine any other queries that arose, as there was no-one else!) We went for food as some of our family were staying in the hotel. Billy took our food order and gave it to the kitchen (the order was fish and chips, a children's pizza, two different vegan bowls, children's nuggets and a burger) The order did not come for well over an hour. When it did arrive two items were missing (one bowl and one vegan bowl) - meaning the two year old of the group was left without food until Billy ran off to get the kitchen to cook chicken goujons for him, for the vegan bowl, the kitchen had no cauliflower - so I asked for them to just create something easy and vegetarian. The chef came up with a plan, no dressing, lettuce salad. Dreadful. Billy discounted our drinks by way of apology, but this was (Billy aside) by far and away the worst run hotel/bar/restaurant I've been in. Employ more staff!!! (More Billys?)

  Great location for our little weekend trip. Highly recommend OPasta restaurant next door for dinner - didn’t disappoint. The rooms are clean, the staff are super friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The morning staff at breakfast were fab, in particular Hayley and Kay, even helped us find a seaside that would be a little quieter. Having read the reviews about the carpark being hard to find… on your way in you turn left at traffic lights.

  Excellent location,2 minutes from train station and main shopping/eating areas. Rooms spotless. Service outstanding! Particular shout out to the young man on restaurant duty on Sunday 2nd Aug. He was so polite,friendly and although it the first night of opening following a recent closure of the restaurant he took it all in his stride and was exemplary.

  Initially poor. I paid £171 for a room where the air conditioning was not working. Not told about this on arrival at 3.30 when I might have been able to find another room. In this hot summer, I only booked premier inn because of the airco so very disappointed Update: the evening duty manager Lauren did her best to help with an extra fan. And after an initially poor response from the help centre, I did get an apology and refund. So feeling much more positive about Premier Inn and confident to book again

  We didn't stay here but had a breakfast in memory of a friend we lost. There were 14 of us and on arrival were disappointed to hear there was an electrical fault in the kitchen. They would only be able to offer continental breakfast. Obviously time was getting on towards the last hour or so, but they put together some bits for our table. All the staff we saw were extremely helpful and apologetic. We were offered breakfast on the house as an apology. We have booked to return in September so fingers crossed there's no problems. Again, thanks to the very helpful staff this morning
