The hotel only gets booked because it is near the beach but if you take that away. This is a hotel you check in for 2 hours and then cut your losses and check out i’m afraid. If you want to be close to the beach, like i did then just suck it up and stay. The hotel is located near YMCA, which has a a few suspicious characters outside loitering outside the hotel, hence why they have security. Security is very friendly. The hotel staff can improve their behaviour and attitude. I went down to the reception to ask if they can store my sons milk in their fridge. The front desk member was running around and before i could even ask him he looked at the milk and myself, assumed i was a delivery driver and said “you need to tell the customer to come down and collect it”. After i mentioned that i am staying at premier inn, he said “we dont heat up milk im sorry”. I then had a chance to explain that all i wanted him to do was store the milk in the fridge and he then said yes thats fine and wrote the room number on the lid. Very hostile and rude. There is only one lift working and if you are going between August and September, get ready for the stairs because the worker told me it is a 12 week programme and the workers are going on holiday for 2 weeks. There is no air con in the room. The toilet was badly laid out. There was no space The room was badly laid out, especially if you are going with a child, again no space When I asked for room service, i was questioned about it by their reception staff. He said, ‘how many nights have you booked? And you want room service? Ohh ok.’ Found this really strange. The room service was poor. They didn’t vacuum the floor. They didnt change the sheets. Honestly, it was only because it was near the beach i booked it so it was easy for my kid. A few changes in staff attitude, abit of more investment, cleanliness to the actual rooms and air con and it could be a pleasant stay.

This review won’t let me upload pics I’ve taken but I shall do on social media as is bloody disgusting. I feel it won’t let you upload as they don’t want you to see the state of the place. Room is filthy with stained furniture. Pubic hair in shower on our arrival. Toilet filthy. Skirting boards haven’t been dusted in years. Ac not working. Vending machine out of order as well so no drinks at all. Litter in lobby. Lift not working and the other lift sounds like it’s going to pack up. Rubbish has been out side of our room on arrival and is still there when checking out. Towel rail hanging off the wall and staff very in helpful. Fire alarm went off with no staff even leaving the front desk to do an evacuation and lift was being used still by customers with alarm going off. On arrival nothing was explained if there was a fire where assembly point is or where to go. Alarm was a false alarm yet no staff made even tried to inform any of the customers of this and just allowed everyone to have to jump out of bed and walk 8 floors down stairs and have to go to reception to find out what is going on whilst they were still booking out people. If there was a real fire in this hotel I can only see the staff wouldn’t know what to do and it would be catastrophic for everyone. Either the staff lack training or just don’t care about there customers or both!!! BOOK ANOTHER HOTEL!!!!!!!!!

If I could give zero, I would. I would not recommend booking here when it is hot. Previously visited many times in the past few years and there was AC, went to the reception and they were dismissive, was told that they had no AC for many years - a complete lie. Spoke to two staff members, one said there had been no AC for 4 years and another said 5 years. Provided us with a fan which you couldn’t feel unless you were right next to it. The balcony was locked and with high temperatures, there was no ventilation. It was a disappointing stay and will not book here again.

I booked two family rooms months in advance. The only available were rooms with a view and so the price of the room was £168 for both. On arrival, one family room was larger than the other by including an adjoining room. It seemed unfair that both cost the same amount per night. The booking asked for the ages of the children yet on arrival we were told the cot was in the room with two toddlers as opposed to the room with a 5 month old baby. There actually was no cot in the room which we were going to have to move ourselves. When the cot was requested twice, we were eventually told that there were lots of children present and so they were in contact with other hotels to get a cot. This should have been arranged for the time of check in. There was an awful smell in the bathroom which then filled the room, therefore despite the comfy bed meant the night was not comfortable. The room itself needed a more in depth clean and the towels had a funny smell/ weren’t soft at all. The views from the room were lovely and we were on the 7th floor. However, despite the hotel having 9 floors, there is only 1 lift which is quite inconvenient with 2 prams (one being a double) and a number of bags. The premier inn website states that most family rooms include a king size bed and a sofa bed/2x singles. It’s not an option you can request in advance which isn’t ideal as on arrival there was a double bed and two very high singles which wasn’t safe for us to leave two toddlers (2&3) by themselves in a separate room. I understand premier inn is a budget hotel, but considering the price for a night was £168, I was very disappointed. To add to this, the restaurant was out of action for the stay. After finishing my review and having a look at the others, it appears another family had stayed in the same room as myself a month ago and reported the same issues. This just shows that management do not care and have done nothing to change the situation for other customers.

This hotel ought to be closed until its refurbishment has been completed. Our room had no functioning air conditioning whatsoever, leaving the temperature somewhere in the region of 30–40°C, with virtually no air circulation. Sleeping was, unsurprisingly, an exercise in endurance rather than rest. The entire restaurant, including the breakfast facilities, was closed. Balconies were inaccessible due to safety concerns. One might reasonably wonder why such rooms are being sold at all. The staff displayed a level of indifference bordering on arrogance — a sentiment echoed repeatedly in other reviews, and one we regrettably found entirely justified. To add a touch of nocturnal theatre, the fire alarm sounded in the middle of the night. We were later informed by the receptionist that it was “just another false alarm”, apparently an occurrence so commonplace as to merit little more than a shrug. Guests who booked through Hotels.com were denied any refund for the unavailable breakfast — an interesting policy, given that one imagines a rather substantial proportion of guests book via online travel agencies. Instead, we were directed to another of the company’s hotels for breakfast, requiring a 20-minute walk over steep hills with two small children. A rather imaginative interpretation of hospitality. In summary: This was an appalling experience from beginning to end. Judging by conversations we had with numerous other guests in the lobby, our disappointment was far from unique. It is difficult to understand how the hotel remains open in its current condition.
