As well as being right on the coastline, you'll find plenty of exciting things to do nearby, from visiting the animals at Paignton Zoo, to exploring the underground caves at Kents Cavern. Plus, couples and families alike will love the rides and amusements on Paignton Pier. There's two parts to the Premier Inn Torquay hotel - the historic building, and the modern annexe, which are connected to each other by a short, covered walkway. Whichever section you're staying in, though, you can look forward to delicious meals in our tasty Beefeater restaurant, before relaxing in an extra-comfy bed.

Been coming to this hotel for years, even before premier inn took over.
Has a great view, nice walk to the town and parks, the town is like most - half shops empty but ok.
The Hotel however!
All ran down, we had 4 rooms booked 2 really bad and not cleaned! Mould covering the air con and window also really bad.
Carpet look like it’s not seen a cleaner in a long time. When I was going bed 3 out the 4 pillow cases were dirty! And I mean dirty! 1 looked like mould spots! Crushed biscuits under the bed, only noticed become I stood in it!
Towels were also dirty and covered in hairs.
When spoke to reception (French guy) was really apologetic and said a manager will speak with you in morning!
Morning come, no visit or call - so had to go back and the manager was so uninterested it was unbelievable.
Was offered a free breakfast!
£900 x 4 for a week in a dirty hotel that was so bad the rats were moving out lol, to be offered a free breakfast! Can’t make it up!
The cleaners had 3 attempts to clean the room and still the same biscuit still sits there!
I have emailed CS to see what they have to BS me.

We stayed in 4 Premier Inns over 4 days, and this one was second from the bottom.
That's not to say it was terrible (the worst one was much, much worse than this one), it's just the whole "You know what you're getting" thing doesn't really apply to this hotel, as much as to other Premier Inns I've stayed in.
Clean modernity at a reasonable price is what I expect from Premier Inn, and normally that's what you get. The decision to open a Premier Inn inside an existing old building really lets down the consistency.
The room was pretty clean (though not the cleanest we saw during our trip), but the floors were creaky and noisy both inside the room and outside, and some of the fittings were dated.
It was also quite a noisy location, but that's not Premier Inn's fault. That's what you get when you stay in a hotel that's right on the seafront. And if seafront is what you want... this hotel delivers.

Location of the hotel is brilliant. Less than a two minute walk from the beach. No issues across our stay for parking but one should noye it is restricted so you'd have to leave you car there if going out otherwise you risk returning to no space.
Room was a reasonable size. I've gone for 3 star due to the bad odour in the bathroom which was a family room in which we had children in (smelled like urine that needs mopping from floor tiles - Room 220)and lack of effort from reception staff on arrival.

This was below my expectations for a Premier Inn
The room was smelly
AC barely works and makes a loud noise
The windows don't open and with lack of aeration makes it impossible to tolerate the smell
The breakfast was full of insects we could not eat it
