  Stayed at this hotel for several weeks during the week, hotel is in a good location and usual premier inn standards, staff are great Kerry has been very helpful

  The room was serviceable a touch dated but it did the job and I was relatively comfortable! The lovely lady, Kerry was her name, behind the desk was so friendly and helpful… especially when I was being daft struggling to find the restaurant. Overall a great stay and super friendly staff! Will happily stay there again!

  Room had no lighting at all, yet no refund. We stayed at this premier Inn last Saturday, our room did not have any working lights (at all). We arrived late around 11pm and tried to get the night staff to sort it out, they tried different keys and resetting the room electrics, however they were unable to. There were no other rooms available as it was fully booked. We had to shower, eat and use the bathroom with phone torches and did not have air con or an extractor fan. We were obviously expecting to receive a refund as this clearly did not meet even our basic requirements of what we expect from a stay. However we received this from Premier Inn '"I have discussed your concerns with the hotel and carried out a full review of the circumstances. The hotel has confirmed that, following further investigation after your departure, all lighting within the room was found to be working correctly. It was established that a light key had not been provided for the room on arrival, which prevented the lighting system from operating as intended. The hotel has confirmed that, once a light key was inserted, all lights functioned normally. While I appreciate that this does not change the inconvenience you experienced during your stay, I hope it helps to explain the cause of the issue. I am sorry that this was not identified and resolved at the time, despite the efforts of the night team to assist you. Having carefully reviewed the details of your complaint and the hotel's findings, I am sorry to advise that we will not be offering a refund on this occasion."

  Although the room was clean, I rate this hotel a 1 star for terrible ghetto-like location and no air conditioning. My husband and I were assigned a room on the first floor. All of the windows were open to allow cooler air from the outside, and a fan was provided. The problem was that behind us was akin to an alleyway with people walking right outside of our open window all night long. This made us very uncomfortable so the window had to be shut to feel safe. The room, even with the fan, was too hot to sleep comfortably. And let’s face it… a hotels one job is to allow a good nights rest. This is where the hotel will fail you completely; especially if you are on the lowest floor. Upper rooms could probably feel safe enough to leave the window open.

  The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was the only real positive aspect of our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt tired and in need of some attention. The room had a strange smell, was uncomfortably hot, and the water pressure in the shower was unacceptably low. The shower gel was empty, there was only single-ply toilet paper (seriously, this didn’t feel very “Premier Inn”), and the room could have been cleaner. Sadly, we also had an awful night’s sleep. Some of this was due to the issues with the room, but there was also significant noise from modified cars racing outside at around 3am — obviously not something the hotel can be blamed for, but it certainly didn’t help. Overall, the friendly staff were a highlight, but the condition and comfort of the hotel were well below what I would expect from a Premier Inn.
