  I've stayed here three times in the last month, in three different rooms, on three different floors. The experience was a bit of a mixed bag all round. Some of the staff are excellent, and a credit to the hotel. They are let down by one in particular, who really doesn't care, and let's it show. The beds were all large and very comfortable, the bed making was variable. The aircon worked well, but was a little noisy. The bath/shower rooms are generally tired. The extractor wasn't working in two of the rooms and the cistern was running all night in one, due to a faulty flush. Noise from the adjacent road wasn't intrusive and all three rooms had a good sized TV, comfortable seating and a convenient socket by the bed. Be careful using the Premier App when booking. It frequently resets the booking page after payment verification. On my last visit, this resulted in a single booking being charged out twice. A 40 minute conversation, where this was "investigated" and "confirmed" twice, by two different operators in the customer care. I was informed that the information had been "passed on by email" to "customer care". I'm still waiting to hear back. Meanwhile, Premier Inn still have the money they incorrectly took from my account. It appears that removing money from customers accounts is easy, returning money that shouldn't have been taken, requires a significant effort on the part of the customer. It's not great customer service. Update: 12/10/26. Following a third, week long "investigation", an email that the erroneous debit from my account, would be refunded. It was notable for the disappointing lack of even a cursory apology, rather, "I hope this clarifies the situation for you." Make of this experience what you will, I know I have.   Lovely people , great service, no complications. They were very nice by letting me and my partner last year have a free breakfast from the beefeater next door (as it was my birthday) and the food was great 10/10.

  Very clean rooms, helpful staff. A good stay. Food took a long time to arrive on our table but I put that down to there not being enough of staff. They were really really busy.

  Paignton south premier inn is excellent in my opinion. It's just a shame that the Beefeater next door is closed to the general public it used to be a great place to enjoy good food.But now it only open to hotel guests. The food was ok but the beer was very limited the staff were excellent under the circumstances
