  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham and, unfortunately, my experience was far below what I expected, particularly as I had booked a premium room. I checked in shortly after 6:00 pm, but due to a number of issues, I was not properly settled into my room until after 7:00 pm. The room was very cold, and it took a considerable amount of time for the issue to be addressed. Eventually, a portable heater was provided, but I had to sit beside it to feel warm. I then tried to make myself a cup of tea to warm up, only to discover that the kettle was mouldy. This was extremely disappointing and raised concerns about the cleanliness and standard of the room. The manager did offer a 50% reduction on the cost of my stay because of the issues I experienced, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was still very disappointing. I also felt that the manager did not appear to have a clear understanding of how to handle the situation, which made the whole experience more frustrating. For a premium room, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, comfort and customer service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

  My sincere appreciation for the exceptional kindness, professionalism and assistance I have received during my stay at your hotel. In particular, I would like to commend Beth, Alex and Shifa for their consistently warm and helpful manner. They have always been willing to assist me with anything I may need, especially when needed a fan and no matter how small the request may be.Their patience and genuine willingness to help have made a significant difference to my overall experience. It is clear that Beth, Alex and Shifa take great pride in providing excellent service,They have made me feel welcome, comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay. Their friendly approach and dedication to ensuring that guests’ needs are met reflect extremely well on the hotel. Without these ladies, my stay simply would not have been the same. Their kindness and support have transformed what would have been an ordinary hotel stay into a genuinely pleasant and memorable experience. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Beth, Alex and Shifa. They are a great credit to your hotel, and I hope their efforts are recognised accordingly.
