Staff I cannot fault, they are lovely. Room however... the bed was tiny and rock solid! Probably the worst night sleep I've had in my life. And only 1 pillow which has caused me a bit of neck pain as there was no fluff to it. The bathroom was small which didnt bother me, however the shower doors seemed faulty and one wouldn't open so it was a struggle getting it. Once the shower was on, I can only describe the sound as if someone was screaming at me. After a long, hot day, I had hoped for a nice cool shower but the shower had other ideas. The temperature kept jumping from freezing to boiling so was not enjoyable. Cleaniness was average, there was dust in the bathroom, marks on the carpets and the shower was dirty. The blackout window as well was horrible as it made you feel trapped. The only thing that room has going for it is the air con! For nearly £200, we had expected it to be a bit better.

ZIP Cardiff is a superb budget place to stay. It is very much no frills but has a price to match. Rooms are small and cabin-like but have everything needed. They are clean, have comfy beds, bathroom facilities with fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. There's air-conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. Parking is free and plentiful. The bar offers sensibly priced simple food and drink, a large TV, pool table. You are welcome to order in a takeaway if that suits. Bottle opener on the wall in the room. Big supermarket nearby. No coffee and tea making facilities - but we take a travel kettle, tea bags, reusable mugs and pop to the supermarket for milk. Staff are friendly and helpful. ZIP simply does a great job providing somewhere to stay at a great price.

This is 'fine'. It's a very budget hotel, which suits if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep. Rooms are fine, but a bit tatty in places. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, and very limited space. Although they've done a good job maximising the very small rooms. The lack of windows is not for me - I didn't realise this when booking. The lightbox is good, but creates a bit of a sensory deprevation chamber as it creates a false sense of day light 🤣 Extra towels, pillows, etc. all come at an extra cost which is a bit cheeky, IMO - even for a budget hotel. RyanAir has a lot to answer for when it comes to this pricing model... Staff were generally friendly though

Had an amazing stay at the Zip Premier Inn hotel. Whilst the rooms are small, they are perfectly adequate for a few nights and have all the facilities you would expect. The staff are super friendly and the downstairs bar area is lovely to relax in, and is a great space to catch up with work or just just have a few drinks. Whilst I enjoyed my stay, I do have one small issue and that is the comfort of the beds. Unfortunately they are not your usual premier inn super soft mattress. With this being the case, I did personally find them a little uncomfortable. However do not let this put you off. The price is amazing as is the location and its super easy to get in to and out of Cardiff. Loads of local amenities nearby as well. Overall, I will be back again in the future.

I can only describe the room as an indoor caravan. The single bed is very small and isn’t a bed at all, it’s a sofa that is used as a bed. I had two uncomfortable nights and almost fell out of bed once on the first night. And apparently the false window in my caravan room faces into a service corridor and lights kept coming on and off disturbing me often. I didn’t like this hotel one bit and won’t be staying again. It wasn’t even cheap at £95 for two nights. It’s next a a gym though if you like that.
