This is without question one of the worst Premier Inn hotels I've stayed in.
From the moment I arrived, the customer service was poor. I was told at check-in that complimentary coffee was available for guests, as is common at many Premier Inn locations. However, when I went to the lobby a few days later for a coffee, I was abruptly told it was "for breakfast only." It wasn't the refusal that bothered me—it was the way it was handled. The staff member was rude, abrasive, and made me feel like I was asking for something
The hotel itself is in desperate need of attention. The room was filthy, the interior looked tired and neglected, and there was a persistent damp smell throughout. The room was also unbearably hot and stuffy, making it feel like sleeping in an oven. Getting a good night's sleep was almost impossible.
For a brand that usually offers reliable accommodation, this hotel was a major disappointment. Poor customer service, poor cleanliness, poor maintenance, and an uncomfortable stay from start to finish.
Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. There are already plenty of photos in other reviews showing the condition of this hotel, so I won't add any. I won't be returning, and I certainly can't recommend staying here.

Great place to stay after a concert on event in Cardiff. We stayed after a concert at Cardiff Castle, this is much easier to get to and from than it seems on the map so we were pleasantly surprised. Stones throw from St David’s Shopping Centre. Ebony was fantastic at Breakfast this morning, very smiley and chatty but we can see she works incredibly hard making sure the breakfast area is kept looking tidy. I hope Ebony being on her own this morning was a one off- she was absolutely working her socks off and deserves credit for it!
Lovely Air Conditioned lobby with Guest Services area- would be great to have towels added to this area as we only had one in our room, even though this was booked for Two People.
Fantastic Lockers for storing luggage before and after your stay- makes it great that you can come and go to it during the day, especially if you have dropped off luggage early in the morning.
Rooms are tidy and clean and bathrooms were spotless.
The interior of the Corridors of the Hotel is quite dated, but I can see that they are refurbishing certain elements so I presume this will be updated in the future?
We will definitely be staying again.
Thank you Premier Inn Cardiff for a Fantastic Stay!

Room was basic but clean breakfast was really good it's all been refurbished since our last stay.but if we are in the middle off heatwave or really warm weather I wouldn't stay again our bedroom was absolutely roasting. There was a fan which did nothing I hardly slept because it was just so warm the sweat was pooring off us all night

Very disappointed by the customer service this morning, we stayed last night and the Aircon was reported as not working and was supposedly switched on manually, the Aircon did not work all night and the room was like a furnace. Room 614.
No note was made this morning and when we told the member of staff neither of us had slept she told us to call the premier inn number. Who have told us that the hotel should have dealt with the complaint! Not very happy at all Cardiff staff
