Premier Inn was excellent but the gas was off at the breakfast place and the bloke there seemed to be having such a bad day he forgot how to be civil.

Staff are so friendly here. I had a cold while staying and asked for an extra pillow. Got back after a day out to some raspberry and camomile tea, chocolate and a note from Vicky hoping I feel better soon. Best service I have received at a Premier Inn. Such lovely team.

I received a friendly welcome with top-tier customer service! The facility has affable good-natured staff members. Would highly recommend it and an easily accessible location too!

We stayed at the Barry Premier inn for the weekend to do the Barry Island 10k.
The girls in reception Nicole and Abby were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us, they didn’t have to but were so kind.
Thank you to both of you for making the trip so much easier for our long journey home.

Stayed for one night only on 5th-May-2026 for £100.00 but unfortunately will be the last. The first thing i noticed when pulling into the carpark was rubbish lying around, a pile of scrap wood and empty plastic food tubs just thrown on the floor and in the bushes. As i walked from the carpark to the reception there was a wooden pallet lent up against the wall to the right of the reception doorway. I Checked in at reception and was greeted by a young pleasant lad who sorted me out with my room card etc. The room i was given was one of the worst I've had at a Premier inn. The curtains were hanging wrong, the whole room needs decorating, the floor boards were noisy and the noisy fan motor in the ceiling void when you turn on the bathroom light was so loud, you couldn't here the tv. I looked out of the dirty window and on the grass outside was more rubble or pile of wood and what looks like an empty paint tub. I was going to complain the next morning but the young girl on reception just blanked me out even after me saying good morning to her. It was like i wasn't there so i just walked away.
The staff in the pub were all very pleasant and service was good. Food was good and breakfast also good.
Not the best Premier inn Hotel by a mile and not the only one unfortunately. I'm now considering looking into other hotels to use going forward as Premier Inns have really gone down hill for me. I travel all over the UK and they have never been this bad. Something has changed and I'm not the only person who's noticed this. Come on Premier inn, sort this out.
