  I have been member of the IHG group for a long time and have used a couple of Holiday Inn Hotels in the Uk and india, intercontinental and six senses in india but have never come across this kind of experience. I have been writing to its reservations team for the past 3 days enquiring about a gift voucher i have for 2 nights stay at their hotel however , nobody seems to be interested in getting back. I am highly disappointed by this kind of service and did not expect that this is how regular guests are treated .

  The room I stayed in had been refurbished since the pictures on the IHG website were taken. I had low expectations before arriving, so this was a nice surprise. The included breakfast was good. Only two milks were provided in the bedroom and I only realised this after I could not return to reception to ask for more. The Samsung TV uses a custom menu, which I found harder to use than the standard Samsung one that most other hotels would have available. The channel list also showed BBC One twice while BBC Two was completely missing, and many other channels were missing or did not work. The TV also asks for a PIN when entering the menu using Mute-1-1-9-Enter, as shown in the pictures. This appears to be the same menu used across the IHG hotels I have stayed in. I understand that certain settings may need to be restricted, but requiring a PIN to access the TV’s basic functions significantly reduces the quality of my stay, particularly when many guests like to connect their own devices to the TV. I also noticed that many reviews from summer 2026 mention that the air conditioning system does not work. It was working during my stay, so I did not experience this issue personally, although it is worth noting that air conditioning is no longer mentioned on the IHG website.

  Really lovely and quiet comfortable very clean, and the service and the breakfast was awesome, the let down is being charged £10 to park your car in their car park, but hey ho all in all very good

  Location is great for Town Centre or Cardiff Bay. More or less in the middle. Did take me a while to sort out best route. Breakfast was good. All staff where very friendly. Very clean rooms and bar and restaurant areas were well maintained.

  This is a nice hotel. Rooms Our room was fairly clean, unfortunately not hoovered round bed by edges was quite fluffy lol. However this did not spoil anything. Basic rm with comfortable bed, had T facilities and a tv. Shower rm is well presented and the company leave soaps,shampoo and shower gel. Only let down and reason lose star shower 🚿 had no power was a constant dribble when on so takes while get showered. Breakfast Well stocked and great variety. Staff incredibly friendly. Staff All staff encountered brilliant in one word. Special shout out for Lisa she was our breakfast maid, not only does she work her socks off, but friendly person who can't do enough for you. If ur lucky enough have this lady ull see how lovely she is. Overall I'd stay here again and I would recommend it to friends and family
