This hotel is perfectly situated in Penrith to visit the town or use as a base to explore further into the Lake District. There is ample parking and it's free when you enter your registration in the Hotel system. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely huge and certainly bigger than anticipated. There are three floors including the ground floor so although there is a lift you can get up and down quite easily using the stairs too which is a bonus. I didn't eat here but my colleague did with mixed reviews. Lengthy wait of around an hour and some good food, some bad. I can't really go into detail as it wouldn't be fair to use his experience when I didn't try it. Personally I went out to eat as there are ample restaurants, bars and takeaways within easy walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast on the other hand I did have and it was a very good all you can eat buffet ... All very tasty. Probably the only downside was you could here quite a lot of noise of people moving about in other rooms and on other floors. This must be a known issue as there are lots of signs asking you to 'tip-toe' around. This being said it wasn't really too much of an issue for me, even though it was noticeable. I believe the hotel is quite pricey for a 'buget' line, but I was there through work so again can't let that impact my honest review. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I have had this year with the free and ample parking and great room.

Nice location. Only real downside was the ceiling panels by the bathroom were damaged/warped. Other than that is was quiet and I got a decent night's sleep.

Was a good location in the town center room was spacious and clean... staff polite friendly and responsive to my requests the sign in computer is easy to use (once you know how) Alexa was prompt and professional... the food was very good for the price as was 21 pounds for a two course in the evening and included the buffett breakfast in the morning which was fresh and tasty every thing I had I enjoyed (i thought peas would have been a nice accompanyment to the fish and chips though) i enjoyed my stay here and would certainly come back here if im in the area again... good service all round... Designated smoking area was handy for me

Tired, basic hotel provision for an inflated rate: takes the piss when only one towel for 2-people provided (standard procedure apparently = šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøThey're too thin to be shared, was wet through after partner used it) breakfast not included, fixed shower head for men 7ft tall & heating/cooling system that hummed throughout the night like a small aircraft about to take off... Neither cheap (Ā£130, Thursday in June) nor cheerful bar the wonderful, enthusiastic lady, Alison, who welcomed us to the 'self-check-in' screen & fetched another towel for me (thank you!) Mixed clientele.

Very comfortable and clean rooms and nice staff. However the price seems overly high for the type of accommodation and the Ryan Air style ā€œupgradesā€ are tacky. Such as throttling the internet access to the point it’s unusable pushing people to pay for an ā€œinternet upgradeā€.
